I think you might be misunderstanding this, forgive me if you`re not! It won`t replace the dial pad on your Orange phone. That`s not what its for. Its for writing texts or notes or anything else that you use an input method for. If you open your messages for instance, you will see right at the bottom of the screen a little keyboard icon. If you tap this, it will appear on screen and the icon will have an arrow next to it. Tap the arrow and a pop up menu appears. In here you will see you have a choice of input methods: keyboard, block recognizer etc. Phone pad will appear in this list as an option for you to use for inputting text and numbers in any program which requires it. Phone Pad is an easier, more convenient method than the others. It`s called phone pad because it resembles a phone pad, thats all. When you try to dial a number from your phone, you will always have the standard grey dial pad I`m afraid!

Hope this helps.

I apologise if this is the incorrect place to post queries like this, but I have a problem with this app (which I use a lot).

Whenever I use T9 in Phonepad to write a word, and this word does not exist in the dictionary, I have to type it using abc mode, which is fine (obviously!). Phonepad seems to save these words when added in abc mode, and I can use them again in future, which is a good thing. Periodically however, it seems to lose all of these custom words, and I have to start afresh.

I may not be understanding clearly, but it looks as if phonepad has its own extendable dictionary. I don't know whether this dictionary uses phone memory space to expand into, but there is not a lot of that left on my phone, although I have a large amount free on the memory card.

Any tips or solutions please?

Thanks

That usually happens when you soft reset.
One tip for you is to change sip once in a while.
I realized that this keyboard only saves it's costum words when you change sip.
If you do a soft reset and don't do this, you will loose all of them (The ones that are not saved ofcourse).
All costum words are saved in the IntelliPad.udb found in Windows folder.
You can also edit this file and add manually costum words.
Cheers

Maybe someone know:
HOW can I change single letter in IntelliPad, to give specific caracter-letter ?
(or add some another letter - for another language) :(
