XCPUScalar 2007 allows you to dynamically scale the processor speed of your handheld Pocket PC 2003, 2003 SE, and Windows Mobile 5. Use Auto Scaling to assign speeds to different CPU loads, It uses the power of the XSCALE or TI OMAP processor and unlocks its dynamic scaling capabilities. You can reduce the speed of your handheld or increase its speed automatically depending on CPU usage of your applications. By scaling the processor speed down, you can increase the battery live between recharges or increase the speed when you need more power for playing games or multimedia programs that require more CPU power. The speed can be scaled from 100 to 728MHZ and upto 265MHz bus speeds. You can even shut the LCD while listening to music to save more battery life.

I tested in HTC P3300 ( ARTEMIS ) and do not work.
HTC P3300 is not listed in compatible devices but have a OMAP850 201MHz default.

I am curious, when you enable auto scale after select corresponding speed based on the load in the advance bar as well as task bar display, does the CPU speed actually change based on the current load? Mine does not change but the bottom CPU load meter does change, I am kind of wondering if this auto speed scaling actually works or not... I did check auto start, save on exit etc and soft reset.

Actually it is listed as supported for a long time (Treo 700W) and they even listed some rave review from a website. I never seems to get the auto scaling working since 2.96 except this evening that the scaling CPU display on task bar actually changing for about a few minutes and I could not get it working again.

I just tried it in my Treo 750 and it's working despite the fact that it's not on the compatibility list...

I overclocked from 300Mhz to 500Mhz...

Does anyone knows if it's really working or it's just fake (at least on the Treo)?
