When powering from internal battery scales from 204 MHz to 624 MHz, as I made the setup in the Advanced tab.
iGO is running like an F1 car.
When charging the battery, the speed is at maximum, and the battery warms up a little.
Edited later:
Because I saw that a user with ASUS 636 said that this software is not working for him, I decided to write down how I did it.
Connect the charging device.
Set up the Speed of the processor to "Maximum" in Settings/Power panel of WinMo. In this mode you disable the internal frequency scaler.
Launch XCPUscalar.
In XCPUscalar, in "Speed" panel, first of vault set manually the speed to the maximum value you want to reach, by moving the slider from "Slower" to "Faster". For the first time a value of 520 MHz is OK.
Tick the "ok" button from the upper-right corner.
Remove and reconnect the charging device after 10 seconds.
At reconnect the speed will stay at 520 MHz.
Reenter the Settings tab in XCPUscalar.
Now you can tick the "Auto Scale with CPU load" checkbox.
Tick the "Taskbar CPU meter" checkbox. Adjust the position of the meter on the upper bar.
Got to the "Advanced" tab.
Set on the first slider 208 MHz for 0-5%.
Set on the second slider 312 MHz for 6-30%.
Set on the third slider 416 MHz for 31-55%.
Set on the fourth slider 520 MHz for 56-100%.
In "File" tick the three options from middle.
In "Options" tick the last four options.
Tick the "ok" button from the upper-right corner.
Restart your PDA.
If you are powering from external power source, your speed is maximum, this is not possible to scale, it is a program feature.
But if you are powering from internal battery you can see the magic!
Now you can increase to 624 MHz with the up written method.
Hope this helps.
Thanx, this works, BUT, on 624MHz sometimes iGO8.3.2 falls down and latest SPBweather falls down everytime, when U click on GLOBE earth after a few seconds.
This or my CPU is PXA270 416MHz original. XCPUScalar 2007 v3.03 said, that my CPU supports frequencies over 624MHz to Maximum 724MHz, but on these freq. everytime hangs, why? Maybe some ASUS Application?
I have Asus A636n
