hummm .... strange .... very strange ....

Maybe, on x50v, do you have at system level the possibility to select different processor clock or speed ??

I saying this because on my Alpine (WM2003SE and xscale processor as for x50v) this program works correctly only if I set "Turbo" mode in processor system setting before run xcpuscalar.

Check on x50v, can be possible you have the same problem.

At least on the ppc phones.....many many people have tested and shown it doesnt save on battery life.

I 've got xda atom wm5 and install previious version, and I don't see any speed improvement when I set it to auto scaling. Does anyone really find it works ???? It did freeze my pda and has to do hard reset that why for such a little improvement, I don't know if it really worth it or is it b/c I don't know how to use it properly!

yes, i can select different cpu speed. i set it on auto speed scheme and soft doesnt'y work. worst - i have to soft reset my device

sorry, i wasn't logged in.
i'll try to use this soft with another cpu speed scheme.

Great program but Autoscale doesn't seem to work at all for me. I'd love to UNDERCLOCK my CPU when the workload isn't too great to try and save battery life. Anyone know how to get autoscale to work properly? I have the box checked to enable autoscale and the precentages worked out properly... Can't figure out why it's not working...

There have been many tests which prove that it doesnt save you on battery life so dont worry about it.

I am not so sure concerning this point. With my Universal and XCPUScalar "Undercolcked" I have a small increasing in battery life. Not a lot, of course, but I think to gain from 10 to 15 % of battery life.
Normally, my Universal is 520 MHz clock. I set it to 312 MHz and I increase its clock only if required by my use.

Concerning the Autoscale property, I can say that it does not work "automatically", but every time it needs to be setted again after soft reset.
Doing so, it works properly.

Do not forget that you can not only scale downwards, but also upwards, as in overclocking you processor. My HX4700 is standard clocked at 624 MHz, but I can 'upgrade' it to 663 MHz.
I did a test once with a Mio 168, and its speed could be almost doubled. Definitely not good for battery life but sometimes very handy hehe.

What is the processor of BenQ P50 ?
If it is an Xscale or TI processor it will be surely supported.

Check for it .
