This is scary! I lost enough cards to pocket
mechanic. Is there anyway to repair a card after a format goes bad?

I cannot recommend to use this tool.
I tried it on my HTC Magician with a 2 gb Sandisk Card some time ago.
And yeah, more space was available after - but all my data was gone -_—

There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home.

it probably formats the card to use it...
But its probably like pc-s doublespace , which compresses all the files copied to the card, that means if you put on the card compressed files (mp3, movies) the space will be the same as now... the pda will also work slowly couse of the background compression...

couse sd cards are really cheap, and the 4 gig and 6 gig are on the market (microsd) i dons see any reason to use such app.

well, that's normal to lose all the data. this thing messes up the partitions. i remember some time ago. sony ericsson users used similar methods through partition magic to reveal hidden unallocated partitions on memory sticks to double their capacity. but they could never use the extra space. only the space it was made for.

I bought this application long time ago thinking it would help make my card a bigger storage and yes it triple up my memory card. The only BIG PROBLEM is I can only store up to the original storage only : meaning, the storage shown is just a "nice to see but you dont have it" thing. My advise, dont go for this, not only you will lost your data, runs slower, card need to be re-formatted but worst of all...you wont get any reply from them even if you try to contact them through email...but I am a bit curious, is this company still exist?

I remember from programming classes back in my school days that our teacher showed us a "trick" to make a 1.4mb floppy disk "think" it was several gigabyte large. (i cant remember in what class or how exactly, but it had something to do with messing the partition table up, took just a few mins)

The real storage didn't change off course, and he said it had a good chance of killing the disk (why we did it with cheap floppy disks in school i guess)

this seems the same to me?
