softick killed my active sync access.. tried almost everything. the prob is definitely on PPC. Unfortunately I made no backup before installing this app. somehow the network settings or something is wrong, but I cannot figure it out. then I hoped the issue bases on a dead registry line. but at least this one I can not found:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{FED90606-5962-d175-D6B5-A920EB21EF8E}

any idea. please let me know if you are able to help me out of this mess without having to hard reset!

Are you using official Card Export or the one in this thread? if you are using the one from this thread then try and install the official trial version. It may say that it is already expired. Uninstall the program and try to locate the registry key. Delete the said registry and soft-reset. Install back official card export. If this works then you have another 21 days of trial and should fix your active sync.

NOTE: I have not try this method yet and not proven to work. Do at your own risk. Anyway, you should do whatever ot takes to avoid hard-reset. Cross your finger.

It won't be so easy now. He said his Active Sync isn't working.

did you read at least last one page back?!
HERE or/and HERE is a hint, how to restart trial time (= start AS working again). you can't find this key [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{FED90606-5962-d175-D6B5-A920EB21EF8E} coz each device has own key generated! you need to find your own key and then delete it. follow my instructions posted on previous page, I am sure you can run AS again

btw: you can get cab to your device using card reader. if not, then follow THIS and find that key. if you delete wrong key, you need to hard reset your device, so be careful and better search twice that only one and bad.

My AS also doesnt work (CEII 3.0)
However if I use guest only it starts working again
but I cannot sync with guest only and I want to get AS back to work again
I disabled all the sync features but AS would still not work
Is it CE II specific or is it something else?
Can I get AS back to work without being required to hard reset and start everything from the scratch ?
I need some desperate help here...pls.

Starix....do lots of people here a favour. Remove the release thread or at least remove the link to the crack. Move it to the testing forum if you still want to work on it.

You already made the release official at TSRH site intially and you secretly remove the release from TSRH after that. Why you still keep it here knowing that the crack dont work. Give warning on your opening post that the crack dont work.

StupaSta....dont start with me again.

yes i know his AS not working, but at least try the method. If its working then it is good. If it not..too bad. We are all giving out ideas...

Do you really think my prob bases upon a registry value? My period isn't expired yet. That's not the reason. That's why why I do not assume the crack not working, but I think the program itself causes the problem!?

AS on desktop runs with other devicec. Therefore it has to be a PPC problem. And it deffinitely occured with the use of Softicks Cardexport.

So the question is:
Do you think it can be solved via registry change?

Then I will try patriks solution to look for the right key to delete. Or does somebody know a way to install programms from desktop to PPC without AS. Is there any alternative at all?

Its definitely a registry based problem
I restored my device with spb backup selecting all options except the registry and it started working againg
try to backup your device and then restore it by deselcting registry. This should clear up where the problem lies

So, Raging_Peace, you have restored all the content of your device, but not the registry. Is this what you have done ?? or exactly the opposite ??

it was sure that is a registry problem as that after the day will night come :)
anyway, i have a bad news - my trial expired, even i deleted reg key in CLSID and i reinstalled CE2 again :(

Raging_Peace, if I'll backup and afterwards restore everything but not the registry, won't this cause a problem to all the other applications I have installed?
