I also won't use either program anymore. I did a hard/clean reset to really get rid of them. Using an external cardreader works in my opinion better. When using these programs I still had to take out my device from the cradle so Activesync would work again.

try this to get your device back to normal again
make a backup using spb backup
do hard reset
open the messaging app right after the installation of extended rom applications, if any
then
restore your backup
again open the messaging application in the middle of the restoration or at the end of restoration i.e. before soft-rest
if the message appl opens then it will work after soft reset as well

Thanks for your suggestion, Raging_Peace.
But the problem is that when I have installed this crack the first time I did not made a backup before.
So, when my problem has arrived, I was without a good and valid backup of my HTC Advantage.

Now, I have take this occasion to flash my ROM (never done before) for pass to WM6 PRO official release.
If I will try again this software (but actually I want to test the new 1.80 version of WM5torage) I will do exactly for your suggestion.

Any way, I have to agree with LZF concerning this feature of our ppc. These two applications are not reliable until now.
But, my problem is that my ppc has not only the SD card, but the internal Microdrive as well (fixed and not removable), and to work with the right speed with it I need one of this two programs.

Ah I see, well in that case I can understand you are searching for alternatives. The speed through Activesync is real crap, that's for sure. I'm just glad that I only have SD and CF slots so that I am not depended on AS.

Thanks for your thoughts. From my own experience, also in the company I work it's the same security policy. But... even the USB slot is useless. All is disabled by admins.

I have the same problem with Active sync , when I connect my PPC with PC AS start but nothing happens (not synchronize) and when I disconnect AS it shows message on PC ,like when I first time installed AS ,that some files must be combined (combine or replace) in PC and PPC etc... and that message is waiting to choice but it shows only when I disconnect AS. So, AS is working but wait to submit the message that shows on desktop only after disconnecting AS. Any help???

There's a new version out that works perfectly (including ATT Tilt (HTC Kaiser)).
Anybody has serial/crack for it?

To b frank in my opinion this software is a crap(my apologies plz).this software leads to unexpected behavior. ur ppc will not work properly if u install this junk,after certain period of time.. u wont b able to synchronize, ur os will show unexpected behavior like fatal of some software..i've installed this software three times and every time i've formatted my ppc ..don kno whthr it generates a trap kinda program or what but it is malicious.! WM5torage is far batter than this junk..cz data is the most crucial thing on ur ppc..dn let it play..! go for viewtopic.php?f=49&t=36118&hilit=WM5torage

I installed this version sometimes ago (v3.06), and suddenly I could not synchronize my PPC (it workd). master009 is right, Softick app is crap. I don't yet about WM5storage, but I am going to have a look a it (I have a HTC Kaiser).
Does someone know the difference between WM5storage and Softick features (USB2, speed, ...) ?

both are same with minor differences...major difference softick is not a freeware but the other 1 is..! telling u dont go 4 softick...don have any idea 4 newer version bcz i am not using softick since ages..! am happy with the later one..! and regarding DATA TRANSFER speed it depends upon ur ppc hardware whether it supports v2.0 or not...!
