Overview: Manage your start menu programs page by moving shortcuts, create groups, create new shortcuts, delete shortcuts...


With this software, you will never see the standard folder icon. Now you can change your folder icon very easily. With this program you can do these things :

• Manage your start menu programs shortcuts very easily
• Move any shortcut to any group (folder) like moving a shortcut to games folder
• Delete any shortcut you want, or any group (folder) you want to
• Rename programs shortcuts, or groups (folders)
• Make your special shortcut for programs, or put your media shortcuts in start menu programs
• Change any folder's icon!! with this program you don't have to see your pocketpc standard folders icons, because you can change them now very easily with your icons, or with the built in program icons
• Make new groups to organize your programs and media
• Making new groups (folders) can really organize you start menu programs and media, it will be nice for eye, load more and more faster
• Create new shortcuts
• Now you can make a new shortcuts to anything in your pocket pc, program, documents, video, picture or any file or media
• Moving shortcuts
• One time, you will need to move a shortcut to folder, or maybe moving a game to games group, or just to organize you programs. Now you can do it very easily by using move file function
• Changing Icons

This app is actually quite dated (released in December 2006 and doesn't seem to have been updated since!!!). It's a good app though but I tend to use SK Shortcut Manager myself (gets updated regularly with latest release v1.1.1 posted somewhere here...). I've created DLL packs which I use with SK Shortcut Mgr. I trust the packs'll work with StartMenu Programs Mgr...

Unzip, copy the dll pack to either your device memory or SD and search for this location from within StartMenu Program Mgr...

Use the following icon nos: (I show just a few major ones here...there are 150+ icons in the whole pack). And this is the beauty with SK Shortcut Manager - you don't need to know all these icon nos because you can ACTUALLY PREVIEW the icons before you select them! But anyway here goes...

Which location have you copied the DLL pack to? Have you unzipped the archive to reveal the actual DLL pack? if so then do the following:
1. Select folder for which you wish to change icon (from within StartMenu Program Manager app)
2. Bottom left menu option is "Change Icon"...click that...
3. On next screen, tick/check "Use custom icon for this folder" and then click Browse to find the DLL pack you downloaded from here...
4. Once you've found the location of the DLL pack and selected it, fill in the icon no where it says "Use this icon number"...based on the icon nos I've given above
5. Click Save on bottom right option of Menu and voila you're done.

If you're still having problems I'd suggest you rather use SK Shortcut Manager instead as it is more straight-forward and easier to use...

SK WINS and beats this one hands down - see an earlier post I made where I stated that this has not been updated since December 2006!!!! While the latest release/update for SK is only less than a month old!!!
