I know THIS application that I used in the past with my HTC ALpine (WM2003SE) to backup SMS and email.

But I suggest to use "Jeyo Mobile Companion" (that you will find released in this forum) on your Pc, that works very nice with WM2003 as well. But it requires Pc to store all SMS.

Sorry sandman2309, but I forgot to indicate you smsOrganizer_v1.0 that I used with my Alpine as well. One of its function is exactly SMS backup and restore.

This program is goood, but it has one problem and that's why I don't use it... I've created an additional folder to store sms and when I press to backup messages only default folders are stored at the backup file :(

I looked at that app, looks nice. But the thing with these apps is that it never says WHERE it backs them up to. It's really no point in backing up all your SMSs to the same place as they are already on. :( Also it never manages to get into outlook, which I think would be a very nice function. It's pretty much the same as with e-mail sync (WM5 uses the same apps and it looks exactly the same), how hard could it be to fix that?

Tomaron, smsOrganizer is only a program that allow to make a backup copy of your sms in the SD card.
No Outlook integration for this application.

Too bad, but maybe that is enough if I am just going to hard reset. Does it keep the dates recieved, combined messages combined and so on?
Is this backup the same thing as Jeyo SMS Backup does? :)
