BsB RAM Sweeper v2.1 (freeware)
Requirements: PocketPC with WindowsMobile 5 or later, .Net Framework 3.5
Overview: Clean RAM and improve your system performance, cleaning the cache and stop/kill second and useless process.
Image Image

What it does?
* Clean RAM and improve your system performance, cleaning the cache and stop/kill second and useless process.
* Without interface, RAM Sweeper work silently. A progress bar will be displayed and when it finish, a notification tells you the total memory gained.
(This can be manually enable or disable from registry)
* A configurable file 'RAMSweeper.txt' to add more process as Exception or set new entries to Execute when it's finish.

How it works?
* Instead of ending the process from a blacklist to gain some RAM, this will kill everything except the processes that are included in the ramsweeper.txt file (white list), this way you will gain the max possible RAM.
* I've also included an option to run any program with optional parameters after every RAM sweep.
* And a registry key to enable or disable the notification when is finish.

I can tell you this much: CleanRam works very well for a quick clean but it is not programmed properly for optimal cleaning in my opinion. Here's why I say that:

I ran the CleanRam program while my phone had been on and running all day, just to see how well it works. I ran it on the Level 3 setting which is supposed to be the most optimal. After running the scan my task manager reported 48% utilization of the memory (it was around 60% before the clean). I wasn't happy with this at all and the program boasts it replaces having to soft reset all the time. After running the phone for awhile again and bringing it back up to around 60%, I did a soft reset without doing a clean and my ram was at 43% - soft reset still works better (although the CleanRam is faster). Then I thought "I wonder what would happen if I did a clean immediately after a soft reset" so I tried it and got my ram down to 36% (around 115 MB free)!! So this is the "optimal" way to free up ram with CleanRam. I would be interested in hearing how people find this application works vs CleanRam myself.
