the second picture allows to be "panned" across the screen. Normally the image is shown in the bottom right corner, so you see nothing. Point with your stylus (or finger) to the low right corner and move it to the top left: you will see the image appearing...
A.

And I will fix this to make sure all second (i.e. large) images are centred when selected. :)

Searching is working now!

With this fix (version) is little bug. Second picture (flying, form of wings, ...) doesn't show. It is white without any picture.

Thanks Skurakai

I will fix this so that the image is always in the centre. S.

Thanks for the new release and thanks to everyone who worked on the new data set, it's looking good! :D

Just one thing I noticed when browsing the new birds last night though, I was looking at 752-Wild Turkey but when I pressed the down arrow to look at the the other images etc it showed the plate for 753-Barbary Dove. The same thing happened on 751-Reeve's Pheasant, 750-Daurian Partridge and 749-Northern Bobwhite, they all showed the Barbary Dove plate. If I scrolled thorugh the same birds the other way starting from 748-California Quail they all showed the plate for California Quail.

I hope I managed to explain what I mean ok, let me know if you need anything clarified.

David

That sounds like a bug. Thanks for the info. I only just change the program so that you can scroll thru the images of, say, maps without the display reverting to the primary illustration. This is obviously a secondary result of changing that code. ;)

Moin,

please remember to give us a mirror (when the bug-free release has finished) ! Uploaded.to would be nice. Thanks

The reason for this is that I don't have 1300x1300 pixel images for 10 of the birds.
I referred to that when I issued the release in this post here, although I don't blame you for not remembering.
It will be fixed when I review all the data and complete the blanks where possible.

I intend to insert code to centre the image, whatever its size.

Hi Sarah,

nice with more birds in PBE, but when translating the names I found that ref nr. 321 and
322 has the same Latin names. I found that nr 321 was the wrong one, but when I corrected that,
321 and 320 had the same Latin names...

Version 4.2.1 Now released in main post.

-New user manual.

QVGA, VGA/WVGA and PC versions updated in main post.

-Fixed: the 'wrong' image problem outlined in the above posts.

-Fixed: the 'Big' bird picture is now centred on the screen whatever it's size.

-Added: Mini-Map option. View the distribution map overlaying the bird images in small size.

If anyone can make mirrors of the main post links now they all seem to be renewed I would appreciate it.
