Overview: Artamata's Pocket Light allows you to conveniently use the camera flash on your Motorola Q as a flashlight at anytime without the multi-step process of the built-in camera application.


- One button access to the flashlight. Using the Q's built in camera application, you need to hold down the camera button for 2 seconds, wait another 3 seconds before the camera application loads, then press Menu > Flash > On. Assign a speed-dial to Pocket Light and save the hassle!
- Saves your battery life by not simultaneously using the camera.
- Auto-On conveniently turns on the flashlight as soon as the app starts.
- Auto-Off saves your battery life by allowing you to set a timer to automatically turn off the flashlight.
- ScreenLight, by showing a bright white full-screen display and disabling the timeout for backlight, gives a softer light than the flashlight which can be great for reading at night.
- Morse Code feature lets you have some fun with Pocket Light. Enter any text and have it sent in morse code via your camera flash light. Hey, you never know when the cell towers will go down

Nice release. 15 WRZ$ reward + 5 for the mirror. Category: Other.

Tested on my HTC Advantage X7500. It does not work. The program is properly displayed, but the flash does not work on command.

Works on P525, the display is buggy but at least works. Torch is better of you don't want to morze ^^

Do not work on my Eten 600+.

Does someone know if there is another application, which would allow to use a Pocket PC (any) as a flashlight by showing a blank white screen ("showing a bright white full-screen display and disabling the timeout for backlight" such as Pocket Light's ScreenLight function) ?

As I know, I used an app called PLamp.
It may does a white or a black screen with a white circle in the middle. But, I assure you that it's not so efficient like the led of a flash could be !

Men.... you never known how much time I'm looking for an app like this one ..... wonderful could be to activate it keeping pressed the backlight button :cool !!!

Shurely this one didn't works with my Qtek 9000 that has at last a camera software by HTC.
Very usefull, imho, the Morse function just in case of emergency or to signal something in particular cases.. it's good to know to have this chance too
