The software has no home website. I created this simple program to use the bright backlight on my PDA should I ever get stuck in the great outdoors, maybe without a phone signal. Paraglider pilots land in the most unlikely places, usually out in the hills and wilds and a bad landing can easily break a leg. But anyone who regularly goes into the wilds climbing, hiking, or goes out on the sea might end up hurt or in need of rescue. With this you can signal a rescue party or helicopter should you get lost, disabled or ill.

Doesn't work good on VGA screen: Program buttons stuck on the 1/4 of the screen with font height twice the normal.

Also I think that backlight on/off will be more battery efficient instead of LCD black/white.

Also I think that a setting of light interval and dark interval in independent way will give the option for short flash with a long pause, which is also more efficient.

It was written with Basic4PPC which does not allow APC calls so I had to go the black/white route. Independent dark/light setting might be a good idea. Thanks for the feedback.

You should make releases for more screen resolutions. You alredy got feedback that it doesnt utilies vga wvga screens fully. It shouldent be to hard to fix? I would love this applet on my Touch HD.

First : START > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > MEMORY > RUNNING PROGRAMS > "STOP" if present
Then: START > SETTINGS > REMOVE PROGRAMS > check "SOS Lite" > REMOVE
