Hi.

I've installed this application on my microSD card (7+MB), but when I try to run it, I gaet an error message saying that there is no application associated with taiyokei. I've browsed the folder, but can't find anything to execute the program with. We shouldn't really need eVB on a WM6 device, should we?

My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm happy.
I can't figure it out. What am I doing right?

Yes you need the VB runtimes for this program. I already had them installed but the prog didn't work so I downloaded them from the developers website listed in the OP and re-installed them and now its working.

If you have your ppc in english you have to change the "," to a "." in your regional settings to get this prog to display properly but does anyone know which "setting" in the regional settings? The fonts are a little messed up and I think its because of the regional problem. This is the same prob I had with the older version of Taiyoukei but I didn't know what to do.

$20wrz to anyone who can solve this problem for me as I really like this program. Remember to set your location in the program as its "horizon View" is awesome and shows you the sky right above your head.

OK $30WRZ to anyone that can solve the display problems. I'm convinced this is something to do with regional settings as a warning appears about it the first time I start the program...but I don't know what to do!

Try this:
First uninstall Taiyoukei.
Then open Regional Settings, go to the second tab (Numbers), and change the first value (decimal) to ".". (Or maybe just change them all to be on the safe side. :) ).
Power off your pocket pc and wait a bit.
Then reinstall Taiyoukei and see if its any better.

A .CAB file a day, for mobile users on the way, keeps installation problems away...

< .CAB file link(s) > added to opening post. (Unless specified all .CAB files are Rapidshare links)

Why should one install a CAB-file?

- direct download/install to the device, without polluting desktop PC by useless installed files
- CAB files are trusted. no viruses, no trojans
- Look HERE to find out how to install a .CAB file

--> If you need a CAB file for a release,
--> if you need a personal key or serial,
--> if you are stuck in a game
--> if you have been waiting more than a week for a new download link

The services are managed by andree and Guy1731 ,the PPCwarez Service dream Team.
Please click on a name to PM any questions about the services, or to report a dead CAB-file link.

We shall not rest before your requests are fulfilled...
Please respect the developer(s) of released software. If you download and use it, then buy or support it.

Thanks but it sounds like a joke. I highlighted the part that sounds like a joke.

I wrote that because I don't know why that setting needs to be set to ".", or where the app reads the setting from. Since some ppc's only update the registry after being turned of a bit (don't remember how long, but 30 sec sounds fine), I wrote that. I didn't think it would need a soft reset, but you can always try that too.

I solved the problem. For anyone that has oversized fonts, on the front page click 'program' and then click 'font adjust'. Click 'Yes' to correct oversized fonts and click 'No' to correct undersized fonts. After this you need to soft-reset and then the program will work correctly. :D

If you set your location, (latitude/longditude) and then click on 'Horizon view' on the front screen the program gives you a wonderful full panoramic (North/South/East/West) view of the sky right above your head and points out the stars in our own solar system. Try it you won't be dissapointed! Then on the Horizon view page click 'Menu' and then put a Tick next to 'Plot stars' and it will plot the other major bright stars in the vicinity making it much easier to find planets like saturn and jupiter with the naked eye.

Here's some screenshots of the spectacular Horizon View with the other major bright stars plotted. Its currently about 5pm here and the sun is still up so you will see the sun as one of the stars but i've unchecked 'daylight' so its giving a nightview so you can get an idea what the program looks like when its used outside at night.

You can see the N/NE/E/SE/S/SW/W/NW runs along the top of the screen to show you the direction.

Anyway I hope someone finds this useful as its a great program to use to know what your looking at and to impress your friends. 8) You can use this program to see all the planets in our solar system without a telescope just using your eyes.
