- OS Symbian
Ahhh, soo much to learn young ones!
Firstly, this will only work on the Kaiser, Polaris, or Vogue.
Second, because each device is different, they each need different versions for the latest fixes.
For example, the kaiser has a keyboard that slides the opposite way then all other HTC phones do, so it needs a special zImage and System.img that has the fixes for that along with its touchscreen and front keypad.
There is no working WiFi, bluetooth, or GPS yet.
And we are currently on version 1.1 and also "cupcake" so it is called.
To LifeHacker, this is not a shell for Windows Mobile, it is the full Android operating system. It shuts off WM after launching with Haret.exe and begins to boot android. Which is why a soft reset is required to get back into Windows Mobile. But I do agree with you in regards to this is NOT a Rom yet and should not be placed there.

this is not a UI, it is a kernel that is booted from a program called HARET. Haret shuts down windows mobile and reboots into linux (similar to how dos programs worked with windows 95)
As this is a OS it is driver dependant, so it will only work for the specific device it was made for and usually requires a specific radio version.
As Previously posted androidonhtc.com is your best bet on porting status.

AndroidOnHtc .com will be also updated when other (htc) android ports as they become more stable as well.
For other ports google is your best friend.
