this doesn't work on our diamond.. it's for QVGA devices only. You can see it at the file welcomehead.96.png... for VGA devices it has to be called welcomehead.192.png.

This file is in the \windows\ directory and you have to replace it. But - as i told you - only a welcomehead.192.png will work.

You can also use a tool like "Schap’s Advanced Config". You can find it at the XDA-Devs page. There you can set up under "Splash screen" the "MS/Carrier splash screen on startup" (this is the welcomehead.xxx.png) and under "HTC Animation" you can chose the "Startup Gif file" (this is the animated.gif)

There is also an option for the "Startup Wav file". There you can enter the sound file... the only file that works on our device =)

But as i told you, this files will not work coz they are for QVGA

Instead of overwriting the existing GIF, give your new GIF a different name, then change the Registry entry for the startup animation.

Code: Select allWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\StartupAnimation]
"Volumn"=dword:10
"WAVFile"="\\Windows\\3G_Up.wav"
"GIFFile"="\\Windows\\3G Up_01_1.gif"
"Enabled"=dword:1

That's what I did and it worked fine...

it's because it's a hiddenfolder. check the option to view all hidden files on your pc, and it will work.

You can't fail if you don't give up.
