Pocket Wikipedia v1.0 (freeware)
Requirements: wm 5 (tested on 2003, does NOT work)
Overview: Pocket Wikipedia, hand-checked selection from Wikipedia which is about the size of a fifteen volume encyclopaedia (24,000 images and 14 million words) The selection was made by Schools Wikipedia and is available for download here. This application it's a freeware software, works on PocketPC, Windows and Linux.
Pocket Wikipedia was created to work on PocketPC systems. After that was ported on Windows and Linux systems. Because the large size of the database file all OS versions of Pocket Wikipedia are distributed in one zip archive.

Kareem this has already been release a long time ago by Sakshamkatyal.
I believe there had been a lot of discussion about his problem in that thread as well. This is mainly a problem of Internet explorer which must be the default browser in Your device in order to use this piece..Hope that may help You otherwise I can get some solution for You no problem.

when I tried to start the program I get an error message
wm5 or higher

therefore,I am assuming that the min req is wm5

If i had a data plan, i wouldn't even think about getting a program like this, but unfortunately, i don't. I need something that works off an offline database and right now, i'm looking at Lexipedia which seems very outdated.

Guyz how about having the 3.5 gb version. Has anybody able to download that? I wish if that contains the entire Wiki+images & can be used in PPC like this smaller version. I agree Kareem. Problem is very much the same here. Don't have data package. BTW kareem why don't You use TomeRaider wiki. Its quite good one as compare to lexipedia...I provided a link to the same post posted earlier but I am not able to find that post...
PS:How was this can be updated one as as per the information on their site it says that 2008/09 version will available for download from 15oct.I believe this must be the older version posted already.

I've never actually heard of that TomeRaider one. I would use the 3.5gb version if i had a 16gb card, but i only have an 8gb card which would fit perfectly, but i always like having a few gb left over for other use.

You're going to have a hard time tracking your posts with the servers changing sporadically.

Split into 49m chunks for you, hope that helps. I think I did it with 7zip, google that if you don't have it already - it's freeware.

I downloaded this and executed in my diamond. When I run program it starts running on internet explorer , but when I want to search a keyword or look into subjects , Opera web browser starts running and says it's unable to load page.
Is it a way to keep this program running on Internet Explorer?

Has Wikipedia Dictionary for mDict version 2009? The Chinese Name is "维基百科全书."
