BarcodeZilla v0.8.9 (Freeware)
Requirements: PPC WM6 - .NET CF 3.5
Overview: BarcodeZilla is a Zxing based barcode decoding application (just like barcorama that i've been using for a while) which is enabled for product recognition (mainly intended for EAN-8 / EAN-13 and UPC barcodes) that will display information the origin country of the product and allows to download product information (if available) and to edit and upload product and price information for your country as well using a WCF webservice.

Actually the online database is still quite empty as i've been the only one to use it during the last days (it contains a few switzerland products) but i'm nearly sure that it can grow very quickly if everybody plays the game and uploads some products.

The advantage is that you don't need to be online to use the application because there is also a local database that will store every product you scan and the price information you might enter in the application.

It's still at a quite early stage and issues might occur however please do no upload crap informations to the server. if you play with it please enter accurate information regarding the products and prices as everything is pushed to the server when you click "upload".

I didn't finish handling individual account so everybody can add, edit and download the products informations so it's also up to you to make this work and become useful

I get the same errors on my Touch HD as tswestendorp :(

I work in a supermarket in London, I can imagine this would be an awesome application with a full database.

hehe i just fixed the problem, you need the SQL server CE. It's called: sqlce.ppc.wce5.armv4i.CAB

DL here: http://rapidshare.com/files/232394976/s ... armv4i.CAB

Admins and Moderators please update the first post and add as Requirements: Needs SQL Server CE

Now the app works :D

Ok, thanks. Well, it does run now. I have a Chocolate Yazoo bottle in my room, I've tried taking 4 pictures of it, each time it says 'unable to decode!' :(

I'll go and look for something else to try.

**EDIT**

Okay, I got 1 barcode to read, out of about 8 :(
