I tried renaming all the .jpg files to .jpx and this did not work !

My apologies, the photos were accidently saved to PBEdata as .jpg rather than .jpx. As Batto says, if you rename all JPG files WITHIN THE PBEDATA FOLDER (not the install folder ) to .JPX it should work. That is why I put the photos pack as an optional download in the main post (they are corrected to jpx).

I was rushing it a bit because I am working on something else at the moment. Sorry.

The GPS thingy was requested. It saves birds in one list (PBEdata/GPS/GPSbirds.txt). It would be nice if a we could export this list to POIs in a mapping program like Memory Map, OziExplorer, TomTom etc. Not sure how to do that yet

I will release a proper VGA version

I just "installed" the program on my PC. Contrary to the previous versions, the image of the programme on my screen is not complete anymore. A part of the right side and a part of the lower site are missing. Is there anything I can do to restore the full image?

Same problem here (on PC en PDA) and the program doesn't show the images (image not available), in the PBEdata folder are the images available.

ALFRED: I think your PC problem may be resolved by the up-coming release of the VGA version for PC.

PASA: For the 'image not available' error, please see later posts (or download the optional photos pack download..)

FWIW: (renaming lots of files is best done from DOS level in this case with 'rename *.jpg *.jpx' command

Try to use UTF-8 encoding for example. Worked fine for Polish characters.

What I would love to do is to have all the messages and menus in the language of the program user, too. You know at present these program messages are still in English but it would not take much to change it.

If I were to list the program messages, etc, would it be possible for you guys to give the non-English versions of them?

Example..

'Compare Birds'
'Exit'
'Search List'
'Sort List'
'Habitats'
'Groups'

etc.

Would that be worthwhile thing?

Hello,
I am very disapointed the program can't locate PBEdata. I used the program to locate it (in "\Carte SD\PBEdata\"), I saved it but same result.
I have put the PBEdata folder at the root of my memory card as indicated and the "SDCARD.txt" seems to be OK.
What can I do?
