Samsung Caxixi v1.0 (Freeware)
Requirements: PPC WM6.1 - Samsung Omnia phone (SGH-i900 or SCH-i910)
Overview: Caxixi (pronounced ca-shi-shi) is an application written for Samsung Windows Mobile phones such as the Omnia. It plays the sounds of a variety of percussion instruments.
Image

The sounds are triggered by shaking the phone using a variety of gestures. But Caxixi is more than just a solo instrument. It also includes a studio, which you can use to arrange backing tracks, record your playing, and mix them together into your own songs. The studio enables you to save recordings and send them to others, and even export them as WAV files to use for ringtones. The Caxixi application is named after the African percussion instrument made of a woven basket filled with dried seeds or small pebbles, and closed with a drum head. Brazilian natives believe the Caxixi can be used to summon good spirits and ward off evil ones.

Hey, sina. This app looks great, so thank you for releasing it.
However, after installing and running it on my Omnia, a message came up saying: "An unexpected error has occured in Caxixi.exe". Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks. :D

Hi Ameer.

When I installed this app on my omnia, it automatically installed 3 apps.
-The main App
-Samsung SKD(or something like that)
-.Net framework 3.5

Make sure it has installed all these 3 applications.
Also, some background program might occur a problem.
In my case, its working flawlessly. I've never saw a bug-less application like this before specially for windows mobile.
Its an impact of having iphone like apps/games on windows mobile. :)
let me know if you got able to solve the problem...

I saw this yesterday on the Modaco site. Was gonna post it here after I tried it out. I installed this and PointUI and now my Omnia freezes. Unable to uninstall this app. Not even able to run it but PointUI was running fine so no idea what the problem is. Hopefully I can avoid a hard reset.

Unfortunately my problem still isn't solved. I already had .Net framework 3.5 installed long ago, and I'm not really sure about that Samsung SKD you mentioned. I'll take a screenie of the error message and post it later. Maybe that'll help you understand what the problem is.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry about that. After uninstalling the program and then installing it again, the Samsung SDK that was mentioned by sina was also installed. This application now works like a charm. I'm having lots of fun with it. Recommended if you have a Omnia.

Thanks once again, sina. :D

Happy to see you found out the solution finally :)

This app is not really important to me. The concept that we might get flexible bugless and fast apps on our winmos amazed me, because I have lots of apps installed and they all have their own problems. I only saw beautiful and fun apps only on iphone, but hopefully, winmo is getting more n more strong... :)
(btw, guys, dont forget the special thanks to samsung for this cool app for free :) )

Doesn't work on my Rhodium (Touch Pro2) so it may be the same on your Blackstone (Touch HD)!
