If you are refering to the PC version then yes, that is so.

There is a program shortcut file that can be copied into the Windows' START/All Programs area. For instructions read the HELP.txt file.

The software is primarily a PPC thing and the PC side is secondary really. But as a PC version is possible I thought I'd release it anyway

Sarah,

I hesitate to climb the trees as well (since I prefer birds), but I noticed that your shortcut for the PC_VGA version does not work properly. After having made a new one, also this one cannot find the datafiles (I believe I have put them on the right place). The program asks for the storage card location and after that it gives some messages about txt files. I thought that I could solve this easily, but I was wrong. For you probably a small effort, I hope.

I ran the .exe install file from the sdcard, but there was no option where to install it (main memory or sdcard) and it installed to the main memory automatically.

Would it be possible to have the option of where to install it? I would prefer main program to be on the sdcard too

i have the same ppc spec as yourself, but in my hast to try out your software, i installed the vga version by mistake, i would like to uninstall it but i cannot see any uninstall link, if i delete it from the program folder, it leaves the icon in the programs list, but it does not show in Windows/programs folder, any help would be apprieciated.

Zeno: The repack of the program is much appreciated I had trouble making a CAB for the VGA and in the end I decided to use another CAB maker program which doesn't let you choose where to install to. It also doesn't uninstall the software. But I wanted to get the VGA version out. So your work is great

Haija and Garcianacho: Translations... As the program currently stands it is not possible because I used images of the text pages rather than pure text files. I intend to release a second version where the text pages are held in simple text files (like the Pocket Birds program) and then it will be easy for anyone to translate them Translating will not be a massive job as there are only 150 trees rather than the 500+ birds in the PocketBird program.

Boriski: The original CAB.exe for VGA doesn't have uninstall. I was forced to use a CAB maker program that didn't have that feature after trouble with the normal CAB maker. You can simply delete the install folder. The shortcut icon can be deleted this way.

Go into WINDOWS / START MENU / PROGRAMS/

Find file PocketBirds 3.5.lnk and delete it.

I will not use that CAB maker again
