ditto to the last poster! Home 2 cannot be found anyywhereee!!
This version is stinky like fish due to the limitations. This is now techically called Pointui FREE. Whereas pointui Home 2 is the paid version.
Cant wait to stumble across PUI2 here on PPCwarez!!!!!!!! (will personally donate 15wz$ to the one who brings it.)
eidt: sorry, not the last poster. Tommyboy's post.
Also, glad i saw that it wont work on touch pro (thats what I have). Won't bother downloading .. will wait for PUI2. Thanks anyway!

Hmm.. really? Ok, background info. I'm using O2 atom life with MWG atom life rom. I've installed pointui downloaded from this thread. It's splendid! Everything works just fine. However when i click on "Click to select weather location..." i get 4 options. (1)Location: None (2) Units: Celcius (3) Manual Updating (4) Update Now. So since I haven't define any location i selected the first option (1)Location: None. Then it says downloading with the PPC icon on the left and a internet globe icon on the right. Under the PPC icon theres 87 bytes. Under the globe its 0 bytes. Then it becomes 7kilobytes under the globe and i get the yellow triangle warning. Then it goes back to the screen with the 4 options. Is there something wrong? or is there a step that i missed out?

it doesnt really like having no location, mine did that until i chose a location. If manual apdating is chosen it shouldnt try to update by itself

How to get the weather forecasts working with PointUI (it's a little tricky, but it's working):
1. Go to http://aspnetresources.com/tools/locid.aspx and search for the name of your city. Make note of the LocationID result. (Example: searching for LocationName->Brasov, gives the result LocationID->ROXX0002)
2. Browse the installation folder for PointUi on your device or storage card and go to \\Program Files\Pointui\Home\1.51a. Find the file called Home.Db.xml, copy it to your computer and edit it. Now you should enter values for <Weather.LocationID> and <Weather.LocationName> according to your needs. (Example: <Weather.LocationID>ROXX0002</Weather.LocationID><Weather.LocationName>Brasov</Weather.LocationName>)
3. Make a copy of the old Home.Db.xml file, just in case you did something wrong and then overwrite the original file with the one you just edited.
4. Start PointUI, go to the weather panel, click on it. Now you are in the weather settings menu. You can click on the "Update Now" button, but you won't get any forecasts.
Instead, click on the "Location" button. You should see your device sending a 87 bytes request and then a warning sign will appear. Go back to the weather panel and you should see your current weather forecast.
Remember: every time you want your weather forecast updated, click on the "Location" button. The "Update Now" button is not working, don't ask me why.

Notepad is OK. Any other text editor is also OK.
Copy the file to your PC, start Notepad, chose File->Open, browse to the folder where you copied Home.Db.xml, and make sure that in the open file dialog instead of "Text documents (*.txt)", select the "All files (*.*)" option, so that you can see and open your file.
