Throttle Lock v0.3 Beta (freeware)
Requirements: WM5,WM6
Overview: ThrottleLock is a little app to lock your device. It will only be unlocked when a pattern is drawn on a grid of points.
Important: the default code is to click on the first point (the one on the top left corner).


Changelog of 0.3c
- Solved keys keep locked after entering correct pattern.
- Added an optional parameter for ThrottleLock to make it delay. Creating a shortcut like this one: "89#\Program Files\ThrottleLock\ThrottleLock.exe 3" will make throttlelokc start after 3 secconds.
- Solved some unlocking and pattern changing sequence problems.

- Battery metter
- Now runs on background. The app will keep running on background after the first start up so the locking is almost automatic. You can place a shortcut on \Windows\Startup so that your device locks even when startup (more secure). To allow freeing memory the app will respond to Hibernate message performing a full close, this will happend only if the device is not locked when resources are requested.
- Some bugs solved like two instances startup or graphical issues when voice mail or MMS where present (i forget to attach the png's for this last two cases X-D).
- Included German and Swedish translations. (thanks to aldur and T-dome).

- Fullscreen (can be disabled throught config.xml mod)
- Tittle bar to display time and missedcalls, sms, mms, mails and voicemail notifications (can also be disabled through config.xml).
- Startup time improvements (still it's not automatic)
- VGA compatibility mode. Will display correctly qVGA themes (like the default one) on VGA devices by using a x2 scaling.

- 0.2b Solves: fullscreen top bar bug when changing pattern, SIP bug and Clock not updating bug.

Release Tester's Review

Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 7/10 - Performance vs similar products: 9/10 -- Average: 8/10
Comment: I have used a few locking programs on my ppc, and this is the best by far, although S2U2 looks better, it’s not ‘safe’. Anyone can unlock your ppc with it, but not with Throttle Lock, it’s a user defined code that only you know, allowing maximum safety on your ppc. Considering this is only a 0.3 beta release, it’s really very good, it’s well made and very rarely does not work. The battery indicator is a good addition to this version, although if you use Batti then you might encounter some issues, on my ppc the Batti indicator flashes repeatedly at the top of the screen, while the two different indicators display different power amounts. But as I said, this only occurs on my ppc, 02 mini s, running WM5. Hopefully when this software become a full non-beta release, it will have better graphics, maybe options for the type of icon for the ‘dots’ and maybe diagonal lines could be added
