Only starting up is slower a little bit, after that running from RAM is absolutely the same.
You should check power consumption of flash memory, it is not a big deal either. I am not saying that you are not right, but difference is not significant, especially if you compare it to 5-10 minutes of WiFi/3G net browsing or GPS navigation.
Anyway, it is really off topic here. Everybody can try it, then decide if it is worth the efforts/resources or not.

work great. Only have one issue, if i get a missed call say when im working and say 8 hours later when im off i see the display is lit becuse of the missed call. and the problem is that it drains the battery. Im using xperia. Have i missed a setting somewere or is it just a bug??
