Hi Guys,

I found some skins for Spb Mobile Shell v3.0. I installed it and works perfectly.
It works only with Spb Mobile Shell v3.0 Not compatible with old 2.1.x versions.
(For old 2 versions you can find compatible versions on the same page)

Link:http://www.imarche.net/omnia/fullpacks.php

How to Install:
Extract the whole .zip file into your storage card root and execute the "Install_*****.mscr" script; set the user language.
A SOFT RESET is required to active the connection status icon refresh (you can also run the script "ScanStatus.mscr").
See the Readme.txt file for detailed installation instruction.

Actually I could not open a new topic so I thought here is the right place to share the link.(Probably admin can move the right place)

Hi All,

I recently upgraded my Apache 6700 to WM6.5 in was amazed how much the battery life improved over WM5, then I tried Mobile Shell 3, I loved the interface but it just killed the battery in no time. Out of interest I googled the battery issues with PPC devices and found some info out about registry hacks. I tried them and so far I have been amazed at the difference. Yesterday I got a full 13 hours before the battery finally ran out, this was with push email running and a permanent data connection ALL DAY. I do not use the phone on this device, just the pda functionality, emails etc.

Below are the mods I did, you just need to download a registry editor like PHMRegedit, the actual mods are fairly easy to perform but would suggest a backup before making any alterations.

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Irsir1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

It may help some of you with the battery issues, it certainly did for me :D

I had the same problem with my outgoing call photos not matching. I noticed that when making an outgoing call, the phone would automatically add "1" to the number. This would prevent the photo for outgoing calls not to be shown, since the contact number was stored without "1". If you go under Start - Settings - Phone, there is a service called "Automatic Prepend". Click Get Settings and check disable. This will prevent the phone from automatically adding "1" (for US) or whatever code it is to make a long distance call.

I don't have this setting on my AT&T Tilt running WM 6.1. I checked in all of the tabs under Settings>Personal>Phone, and it wasn't listed there. Any ideas?

yeah, i like your spirit! that's the attitude. i bet the wright brothers loved it everytime they were told that humans don't need to fly. who needs cameras on phones? who needs cars that runs on batteries?

Exactly! And Bill Gates said that nobody would need more than 640 Kb of memory in a PC.

Did anybody notice that this eats about 8MB memory, its a fine software, but 8MB? Its 6MB more then 2.1.5, only for the 3D effects, so some of my other software dont start because it has not enough memory, bad, so better stay at 2.1.5 when you have only 27MB Memory free.

Yeah, I did notice that. I was trying to run Navizon (which uses WIFI and GPS) along with On Course Navigator 8, and my Tilt didn't have enough memory for both! With 2.1.5, I was able to run Navizon, OCN8 and talk on the phone using Bluetooth! I may have to go back to the previous version, or find a way to disable it when I start up OCN8.

I don't have "Automatic Prepend" on my phone either (htc touch HD) and I know when you collect numbers from incoming calls from Rogers (in Canada) they automatically place a "+1" before every number. For years I have deleted the "+1" from my stored numbers so I wouldn't make long distance calls without hearing the “you are making a long distance call. Dial 1 before the number. Roger is completing your call" kind of crap. This stops me from being charged $.35/min. I use a phone card instead. The difference between the numbers with and without the "+1" in front have not made a difference recognizing contacts, in all phones I've have since Rogers switched to GSM from TDMA 6 or 7 years ago (I know I'm showing my age. I still got my Moto V60gsm). I know it's not a hardware issue because there's been no problem running the stock htc software. My work-around has been to add the "+1" to the beginning of the few numbers I have in "favourite contacts". Thankfully they are all local calls for me. :?

It's an QVGA PPC, i think Mobile Shell 3.0 needs about 3 MB-RAM on QVGA-PPC and about 10 MB-RAM on VGA-PPC

Thanks for the tip. I know that Tom Tom is difficult to get going (especially with all of the different versions on this site), but I will definitely give it a try.
