Hi, thanks for the sharing this, it looks really nice. I was wondering if anyone knows if SPB Mobile shell replaces all the features of SPB Pocket Plus. I'm desperately trying to make space for SPB Mobile shell.

Well I found some kind of answer, but its outdated. Its a chart comparing Mobile Shell with Pocket Plus, but in early 2007.



Both of these programs have made big time improvements since. I guess what I am trying to find out is if you can do Smart Scrolling with Mobile Shell and if they added the tab feature in IE as well, or are those still the sole domain of Pocket Plus?

To answer my own questions after some days of using spb mobile shell ... it has transformed my slow and clunky xv6700 on wm6 into a much faster and smoother ppc phone. These people should do their own mobile phones.

Smart scrolling is maintained all throughout mobile shell which allows you to do without SPB pocket plus, unless you leave the shell when browsing for files which is rare because you can browse files through the spb mobile shell. In fact the smart scrolling is better than before, you only need your finger no stylus! There are no multi-tabs on IE, that is a feature found in SPB pocket Plus not on SPB Mobile Shell.

I'm using a hacked version of wm6 on my xv6700 which doesnt allow me to delete the HTC shell. If I could do that, it would make enough space for SPB Pocket Plus, but as of now I can't. Rats!

Anyways, thank you for this release, I feel like I bought a brand new phone. Im going to buy the real thing with my next paycheck.

Hey 10x a lot 4 the post!! i have an HTC touch diamond and it works greaat on my phone!!
But actually i have 2 things to add:
1- since i installed the application on my phone, the battery indicator on the upper bar is not changing and indicates a full battery all the time!! can anyone help??

2- does anyone know if there is a way to switch between the touchflo 3D and spb mobile shell easily without removing the application from the phone??

when I go to weather device starts to load but it just stays there untill i restart the whole device anybody have same problem?

I had exactly the same problem with the weather option (and some of the SPB icons appeared slightly corrupted) so I downloaded the trial version from the SPB site (version 3.0.1 build 6501) and then registered it with the serial from the 1st post. It now works fine for me. Perhaps the CAB in the 1st post has been modified/damaged?

yep......same scenario here.....OMNIA users go to spb home and download latest trial.....use this cab
register with serial from first post and everything works fine.....even the latest (4.1) imarche pack (heaps of new skins and clocks and stuff)

I'm runnin SPB on my treo 700w, but after I turn the display on (after sleep) and disable the key-gaurd, SPB almost always goes back to the regular today screen until I hit the windows button. Sometimes it goes to the today screen while I'm in the middle of a program. Anybody know a solution?

Anyone has a hint about this problem? Some two weeks ago the SPB Mobile Shell stoped showing an icon notification about incoming SMS-es. It does play sound when it arrives but after that I don't see a red icon about it any more. It still works for missed calls. Any idea?

Can't get it to work on WM 6.5. Tried a few diifrent ROMS... It installs fine but the icons for widgets don't show up. Professional layout seems to be fine, but Lifestyle dont work... Touch Pro Sprint.

Does anyone know, how can I reach in the registry the spb mobile shell's (3) call history - today icon?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS - I found here inbox, contacts, but I can't found call history. I wanna change key 1 of that, because I use iconsoft phonex, and I wanna that if I click to missed calls icon in spb today, the iconsoft phonex missed calls will load not the spb's software.
