We in the west are fking money-obsessed cowards. Why didn't we have boots on the ground prior to this current invasion? A force to keep Russians on their side of the border, to show that the invasion is futile.

At the end of this, if Kyiv should fall and a puppet Russian government oversees the oppression of the Ukrainian people, will we in the West still think sanctions were enough? Will we rest easy knowing we did what we could?

The rest of the world, excluding Russia, knows exactly what is going on. And I do not believe he will stop at Ukraine. His threat of pushing the nuclear button is frightening. As far as I can see, the only way to stop him is if the Russian people are aware of his actions. And that is going to be difficult because he controls the media and they only know what he allows to tell them. It maybe that with phone and internet access the message may get through to them.
