Overview: GreatCircle is a little utility for calculating the shortest distance between two points on Earth


GreatCircle is a little utility for calculating the shortest distance between two points on Earth given the latitudes and longitudes. It considers the arc of the circle in a plane that passes through the centre of the Earth and also gives the angle of that arc in relation to North.
The program is supplied with CSV files containing information on numerous cities of the world. These files can of course be adapted to your needs.
Insofar as the calculation is very precise, this program can be uses for geocaching fans.

Note that that program uses the Ewe Java Virtual Machine (released HERE) and that it must be installed (be warned that Ewe uses over 2Mb).
