Well in a very limited way, it is possible to view and plan a trip and even review the route that you might want to go.

However with out connection to a GPS receiver the system does not know where you are..

I have problem with TomTom (6 or 6.01, 6.02 or 6.03): 1 time out of 2 the application does not launch (remains on the first page), needs to reboot the ppc (pocket loox N 520 wm5), do you an idea of the problem? thank you for your help

I found just a tiny bug. All settings that you modify are persistent except for the sound settings. This version of TT starts with sound=off. Setting it to sound=on and then exiting TT and restarting TT reverts you back to sound=off.

Just a minor niggle, but still ...

Every single 6.03 I have tried in this thread up to this point has had this glitch. Very annoying. Annoying enough I'll go back to the 6.100 I was using.
I tired everything. Just over-writting files, completely clearing out the tomtom directories... nothing made 6.03 start up unmuted.
6.100 Starts up correctly.
I'm not sure what is going on here.

how strange. Something changed in the new version thoguh. I don't get why some do it and some don't.

Check the properties of the file that you copy over. If the file is copied Read-only then the settings will not be saved when you exit. My copy had this problem. Unchecking read-only solved the problem.

I have managed to get my TT6.03 working fine but now I want upgrade to either TT6.1 or TT6.2. Has anyone from the UK upgraded to either of the above version and managed to use it with WM2003 and UK Post codes database?

My advice:Don't update !!! version 6.03 is way out the best there is at the moment and it is TT latest European release!
No amendments and advantages in 6.1.and 6.2!

I aggree 100% with that. 6.1 & 6.2 won't work with full UK postcodes so are useless here. 6.03 with Western_Europe_V660.1219 is the best current combination in UK imho.

Vromfondel & twingo thanks for your advice. If it does not do Uk Post Codes than there is no point in installing any other updates. I have gone with V660.1256 maps as I read somewhere the UK maps were better on the 1256 build and the europeans maps were better on the 1219. All I need now is to sort out my confusion with speed camera versions. The PocketGPS version I have says it is version 4.124 from 28.12.06 and somewhere else I have read the camera database version as 5.025. i have been using the PGPS version all this time but i was wondering who is realeasing 5.xxx?
