I completely removed TT6 from PPC and reloaded a fresh.
Looks like TT6 became corrupt but now works fine again with latest April SpeedCams installed. However I note that at least one mobile camera has been omitted in from a road I know still has a regular mobile camera van. Very strange as that camera was listed in the March update.

belch ... Can you tell me just how you removed TT6 from PPC & started again? What files need removing? I ask this since I just got my PPC a week agao (an iPAQ6910) & I do not know my way around it yet?

Thanks in advance.

This is how I removed TT6 fro my SPV M2000.

Settings - System - Remove Programmes - TomTom Navigator.
Then click My Device - My Documents and check to see if TomTom folder is present and delete.
Then My Device - Programme Files and check to see if Navigator is present and delete.
I then removed all traces of TT6, maps and Navigator from my SD card,
and reloaded the application from my PC to the SD card via card reader.

This should give a clean new installation.

My problem was caused by having too many POI's on a slow SD card.
I now only have speed cams and a few other essentials like McDonald's...

FULL setup package for a new or fresh install

Info:
==============================================================
SETUP & CRACK FOR PPC VERSION ONLY
==============================================================

1. Copy to and execute in your pda the ttn2003.cab file contained in 2577 dir.
If you get an error, copy and execute ttn.cab instead.

2. Copy the TomTom SD Card files
Copy in /program files/navigator the extra (not necessary)
folders (raster, schemes, voices) you have.

3. Install map(s)
Install the map(s) that you want to the root of your memory card.
They must be compatible with version 6.

4. If needed (!!!) install Guam Map in order to let the crack works properly.
With this map no activation is required.

PS: change "/program files/" directory with your localized program dir in your PDA

Q. I played with SD and after installation I deleted the folder 2577
and autorun.exe from SD: TT 6 don't works. How to get TT 6 working again?
A. Made on SD folder 2577 and place a dummy autorun.exe and TT 6.20 work again.

timebandit wrote:This version doesn't work with Navman iCN 510 with WinCE like 6.00 and 6.02?

Unlike 6.0 - 6.02, Tomtom 6.03 requires note_prj.dll. Most Navman PNAs don't have that file. Although there are various downloadable homemade/dummy note_prj.dll files on the net, if you use one of these in the Navigator folder Tomtom will spit out a memory violation error when your map starts to load.

Stick with v6.02. There isn't enough in v6.03 to get excited about at QVGA.

Can you tell me exactly how to either re-name or remove these files from my PPC device (I have an ipAQ 6910).

I have Resco File Explorer & I just cannot do anything with these files as they are "system & hidden" files.

I cannot unhide or rename. Even if I run Active Sync & try to "manipulate" from my PC I have the same trouble. :(

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

In TomTom where do I copy the Speedcam info?
Is there already a folder where I copy the speedcam info?
Or, I must create a special folder (under what name?)

I have tried everything short of a hard reset to get this TomTom to not start up on Mute mode every time, but I can't get it to fly.
Every time I start this version it is Muted.
6.100 doesn't do that.
I don't imagine there is much of a difference between the 2 builds, so looks like I'm staying on that until a newer version that doesn't start muted comes out.

I have found out what causes it though.
I have DirectPush setup. DirectPush keeps an open data connection all the time.
For some reason in this version of TomTom when you start it if you have a data connection, it starts up muted. If you don't have a data connection, it doesn't start up muted. It's very strange and irritating.

I think this is a bug in 6.03 related to a GPRS connection. If you launch tomtom with GPRS connected, then tomtom seem to think you are on a phone call and so mutes the sound. Launch tomtom without GPRS connected then no problems. Thats how it is for me anyway.

Edit: ah I see you have added the cause yourself at the same time I've replied!
