Every time I start this version it is Muted.
6.100 doesn't do that.
I don't imagine there is much of a difference between the 2 builds, so looks like I'm staying on that until a newer version that doesn't start muted comes out.

I have found out what causes it though.
I have DirectPush setup. DirectPush keeps an open data connection all the time.
For some reason in this version of TomTom when you start it if you have a data connection, it starts up muted. If you don't have a data connection, it doesn't start up muted. It's very strange and irritating.

I have EXACTLY the same problem with my iPAQ6910 running Vodafone VBE (Push email). Its areal pain. I think I'll try v6.10 if you say it works OK with Push email.

Thanks, this has also been bugging me too! ;)

Ok, I created a semi-workaround for this.
It's not pretty, but TomTom 6.03 will launch with sound.

Basically I wrote a Mortscript file that disconnects the data connection then immediately launches TomTom. Only problem is that some times the wizard reconnects to the data network faster then TomTom launches, lol.
But most of the time it works and it starts up with Sound on.

I was reading around on other boards and this seems to be a glitch in the official 6.03 version as well... not just in our "special" version.
So hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Hi everyone,

I am thinking about getting a Palm Treo 750v with WM5 PPC (not Palm OS) - does any one know that This version of TomTom run on this Palm device - in particular the screen size that this Palm has (i.e. 240 x 240 pixel QVGA screen) where standard PDA support 320 x 240 size screen.

I think there were issues with HP iPAQ - non standard PDA screen models which required some sort of patch to make it work.

Please advice - many thanks.

Just installed twice, once onto an Ipaq 3715 and again onto my new toy, The Orange SPV M700.
Works great on both. :D

Hi all,

I entered advanced planning and marked 2 points on the itinerary.
Now how can I see a route simulation with sound?

At the moment TT is waiting for a GPS signal.

I'd like to note that I'm trying the simulation on a different country.

Thanks.

However, I've removed this last TT version from my HW6910, as it screwed up the sounds in my PPC...

The volume is all the way down, even after a SR, and even if I drag it up along the bar to a higher volume, still no sounds at all, in any app...

If there's a solution to this, I'm willing to give it another try.

I'm using the last zip given in this post.

Further, after I copied the 675.1409 UK maps, this version required activation, while the previous version I have does not.
(I saw the keygen, it works perfectly).

Even after I removed this version from my PPC, there was no sound at all. I had to HR and restore from a backup.

This means that this version overwrites some system files. Does anyone know which?

Thanks.

I also have an iPaq hw6910 & use this release because its so much faster than previous versions.

TomTom are aware about the sound problem issue & are working on it! Currently there is NO fix! :(

Hope this helps ;)
