jellywobbles, I have no sound at all even after removal of this version, including a SR.

Sound was restored only after a HR!!

Hi,

I got the new Asus A696 running WM5 (the successor of A636N)
and tried to install Tomtom 6 .01 and 0.2 and 0.3
and in all cases I come accros a severe problem:

--> the splash screen shows up OK and then... the display is completly corrupted, nothing can be seen unless random lines / shapes /color.
Then sometimes I got memory corruption error.

Has anyone ever had that bug ?

Also it's quite a pain to find a clear instructions how to install it I think. Where to put what...
Should we install from the normal .cab file and then overwrite both data.chk and navigator.exe or the whole folder set to put on SD card...etc... ?
I can find the cracks for 6.0.3 for instance but never the whole package with clear instructions.

I'm getting a bit nervous and disapointed.

Just a quick warning: this version of TT does NOT work with WM5 and WM6 and map 675.

I have 2 TyTn, one running WM5 and the other WM6. In both cases, TT 6.030.082 starts up just fine and can connect to my BT GPS. Location is shown on the map, etc. But after 2 minutes, TT hangs.

I don't know if this is a conflict with the program or the 675 maps, but I've tried every possible ways, including installing on fresh unit (hard reset).

Treo 680 Instructions

1. Download TomTomNAV6_680Update.zip (3.5 MB WinZip compressed file)
2. Extract files using a standard decompression utility
3. Plug card reader into computer.
4. Insert memory card containing the TomTom software into the card reader.
5. Open the folder just created that contains:
* Palm.prc
* Data.chk
* Munich.bin
6. Copy Palm.prc into the /palm/ folder on the card
7. Copy Data.chk and Munich.bin into the /TomTom/ folder on the card
8. When the process is complete, Eject the card.

Treo 750 Instructions

1. Download TomTomNAV6_750update.zip (7.3 MB WinZip compressed file)
2. Extract files using a standard decompression utility
3. Plug card reader into computer.
4. Insert memory card containing the TomTom software into the card reader.

* autorun.inf
* Start.exe

Well i am using this version of the software with the 675 version map ( latest one posted) and it works perfect, so i would say that your problem is some other program you have installed or a memory problem

hi Trickydave. I've been looking all over for the S60 3rd Edition version. could you or some other member please tell me how to install Tomtom 6.030. on an S60 3rd Edition (=S90) Handy.

Should i use tomtom home program or do a manual installation by copying some files over to the sd card of the handy?

Are you using another version of TT6 and then update the application? I am using TT 6.010 and tried to update it to newer version AND use 675 version map.

I hard reset my devices and didn't install any apps, so I am sure it must be TT 6. It's probably a conflict on the TT software though since the one I use (before upgrding to this version) is "quite" old.

However, I've removed this last TT version from my HW6910, as it screwed up the sounds in my PPC...

The volume is all the way down, even after a SR, and even if I drag it up along the bar to a higher volume, still no sounds at all, in any app...

If there's a solution to this, I'm willing to give it another try.

I'm using the last zip given in this post.

Further, after I copied the 675.1409 UK maps, this version required activation, while the previous version I have does not.
(I saw the keygen, it works perfectly).

Even after I removed this version from my PPC, there was no sound at all. I had to HR and restore from a backup.

This means that this version overwrites some system files. Does anyone know which?

does your device have a biult-in gps receiver or do you use a bluetooth gps receiver?
I had the same probelem before but I read on here somewhere that all you have to do is goto windows folder on your device and look for a file named btcoreif.dll and rename it to btcoreif.old or just delete it if your device has built in gps receiver. correct me if I'm wrong

Try this. I got it on here somewhere so its not my work but I put instructions how I did it and I hope it will work for you. The btcoreif.dll has been removed from the file so your volume shouldnt be affected. after installing run TT6, connect your device to internet and use update option on TT6. I'm not sure what files are updated but it will update somethings

In TT6 you don't have to edit data.chk file (it was a way for TT5 to add own warning sounds)
In TT6 you can place sound file (in ogg format) with the same name as POI in map directory and TomTom uses this sound for this POI


if TT6 spoils something in your sound configuration try not to install it.
Just copy folder with TT files (/Program Files/Navigator) to your pda and run it.
(of course you have to copy voices folder nad maps too)
It works without installation . Only disadvantage is that you will not have TomTom on Today shortcut

and TT 603.8320 works fine on WM5 nad with maps 675
