One dummy question:

Will the .OV2 (POI) files created for TT5 still work with TT6? Does anybody use that ?


One politically uncorrect question:

21 pages in three days and a caught-tuna-like fever for this TT6. One huge map per continent... 3 euro to rapidshare (I got a whole month, a week ago, btw)
What are the REAL reasons to upgrade ?

Wow, the sexuploader.com site is fast! No limits like rapidshare and files can be up to 250mb!

As for reasons to upgrade - newer, more updated maps.
What's New and Improved compared with v5 (from gpspassion.com)

Yes, my TT5 POI's work perfectly, as do the files from Color Screen Editor & my old voices. The only thing that didnt transfer was favourites.

If you have compact flash slot, just supprime voice folder, or just take cmpact falsh card out of it, and in TTN6 do a reinitialisation of parameters.

I know this is a bit off Topic but I've recently found this site for PPC stuff and its amazing, as I've got TT6 for PPC before most of the shops

BUT, I was also looking for TT6 Mobile for Symbian Phones (i.e. Nokia N73).

Does anyone know another site like this one for Symbian devices ?

I can confirm that tomtom 6 runs OK on my Qtek 8300 smartphone.. The program has a "strange" support for both devices. When a new screen or requester pops up it feels like when I run pocketpc apps and I'm "stuck". But here you can press the buttons like magic..! Nice.

Can you please give a walkthrough how you installed, I am trying to install on a C500, and all I get is "your device is not compatible with this version of tomtom navigator"

If you have compact flash slot, just supprime voice folder, or just take cmpact falsh card out of it, and in TTN6 do a reinitialisation of parameters.

I have SD Card Slot and still no voice....

I found the resolution in an interesting way. The voice problem was gone when I copied the folder 2577 into the SD card. It will hopefully work forever....

me tried 2 install the cab file on my C600 and M600, but i wont install. get the option 2 install on sd or fone and donno matter wit 1 u choose u get the message that it canno be installed.

I had the same problem with the new CAB on my smartphone, but the older one worked, so maybe that is worth a try.

y have the new version of tom tom with central europe card on ith.
if y start tomtom with the right b tooth connection and mouse my first screen is bleu and has the (dutch text) huidige positie: and the adres whare y ame.
how can y chance that because y want too see a map possision instead of the text.
also y want too see mij navigation route because now y see a overall card with an arrow moving .
y hope some one can help me .

thats because you didnt install the tomtom 6 (not cracked) on youre sd card, make a folder called voice and put youre files in there (on sd card)
