Hi, yes there's a torrent file somewhere in this thread. Go back a few pages, and you'll find it! It's on Mininova.org.

Hi just for those who do not know. Poi Extender has now been updated to 6.15. Now you can create your custom voices properly.

TT Navigator

Download POIW 1.0Q. to your desktop, double click the icon to begin the install program.
During the installation untick the option to install Extract TTN it is not required for Navigator.

Copy the Navigator.exe file and data.chk from | Program Files | Navigator | on your device to C:\Poiextend\originals.

From the Start menu goto | Program Files | POI Extended Warnings | and click the TTN_POIEW icon to start the main program.

Click the bottom load button ( number 1 picture above ).
Browse to C:\Poiextend\originals load the navigator.exe file into the application.

Click the top load button ( number 2 picture above ).
Browse to C:\poiextend\originals\data.chk and load the data.chk file into the application.

Changing the text in the green boxes will changing the text shown on your device for the poi warning sounds (Bell 1, Bell 2 etc).
Load the required ogg format sound file with Button 3 ( picture above ) and listen to the loaded file with Button 4 ( picture above ). Dont load anything if you want to keep the original sound.

Click "Save modified TTN file" and then "Build CUSTOM.Chk"

Copy the modified Navigator.exe file and data.chk from C:\Poiextend\modified to | program Files | Navigator | on your device and replace the originals. Reboot your device.

Known Issue
Changing the text for the POI warning sounds will alter the text labels for any custom voice skins you have installed but will not affect operation.

Restore to Original State.
Replace the data.chk and Navigator.exe files with the originals.

I have used this on 5.21 works great, so should work great on 6.15, I have not tried it yet though as I do not have time. Will do my voice in the next day or two.

Hi please ignore my post, I just opened it to try it and it is not recognising 6.5. I jumped in too quickly, it actually says UPDATED FOR 6.15.

Keep check of this site though as it will no doubt be updated soon.

You can still change the CHK file with this software, but you cannot open the EXE to rename sounds.

I have made a custom CHK for 6.00 and it works great. Posted it back in the post. I have already supplied the developer with a copy of 6.00 and he is working on an update so we can also rename the sounds in 6.00. Expect an update soon :D

TTNv6 install. Same as the master one on the first post but with the following chnages.

* You can now select where you want it installed. Old version always installs to device memory, if you select SD card the main application will now be installed on SD.

* Remove programs now just shows "TomTom Navigator 6".

All you then need are some maps and voices. The full package can be found on the first post.
