just searched for all others selling TTN6 and those with bids I emailed all the bidders links to my installs.

I shall continue to do so. Also reported them all to ebay and tomtom, who funnily enough actually have an email address to report pirate versions.

I dont consider myself a hippocrit, i just hate the fact they steal others work, i bet they didnt even make the installs.

I have a small dilema, the MegaPack is almost complete but I've downloaded the new Maps for Canada and Alaska (68Mb) and for Southern USA (232Mb). The dilema is that at present the MegaPack DVD image has only 29Mb of space left in order for it to fit on a standard single layer DVD!

So the way I see it I have 3 options ....

a) I omit these maps and release it as is! (Not really an option)
b) I remove a PLUS map for one of the large countries?
c) I include everything I have and make it so the ISO will only fit on a Dual Layer DVDr? (Again not what I want to do)

Which I guess is really only one option, I need to remove a PLUS map for either France, Germany, Spain, Italy or Scandinavia to make room for the extra USA maps.

Answers on a post card!

One more problem ...

Canada / Alaska archive seems to be corrupt when extracting I get this error:

Canada-Alaska.rar: CRC failed in Canada-Alaska\cnode.dat. The file is corrupt
Canada-Alaska.rar: Unexpected end of archive

Any one else or is it just me?

I begin by collating all the maps / programs cracks etc from around the web. Then I re-pack the 10 files need from each map back into a .cab using WinAce:

*.pna
*.mid
cname.dat
cnode.dat
faces.dat
mapinfo.dat
cline.dat
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat
poi.dat

I create a .ini in notepad so they can be extracted again using the official Tomtom installer.

Once I have everything re-cabbed / ini's built I make a custom menu file for the original tomtom installer so all components can be installed to the device from windows without all the faffing and copying folders etc. This will be my 5th MegaPack and I'm getting reasonably competent with the Tomtom setup.exe menu format.

Also the setup.exe needs a little tinkering in a Hex Editor to make it look nice & not say silly things like "Go on-line to register!" ... LOL!

At a guess, and without trying to be facetious I'd say Canada and Alaska Maps?

guess you reporting them mercenary did the trick as either they shit it and pulled it or ebay pulled it for them.

I would also say that you are being very hypocritical by reporting them, even if all he/she has done, is to download the software and burn to cd, the fact he/she got the software is because it was released on here and other forums and like a virus it spreads everywhere. I can't remember the last time I bought any piece of software for my pc or ppc,so I hold my hands up and say yes I am someone who prefers the cheap option.

I don't know how much they were charging for it, but if I wanted it and couldn't find it at sites like this then I would pay for it.

I also don't see ifalleni complaining that somebody is making a profit from his work, its all part and parcel of the cracking game. I would say 70% of the programmers either copied VS,downloaded off a torrent or bought it for a tenner at the market, myself included.

No offence intended mercenary just trying to point out another view of this.
