I tried everything but could not get my Axim X5 with WM2003 to see the US Southeast maps on the SD card. Like some have mentioned, it would see the Guam map when it was in the system rom or ram but no maps on the SD card are found. I then swapped the previous v6.000 exe and now it sees everthing on the SD card. So there has to be something not working correctly with the new 6.010 exe.

I am the one who told about this problem with my Axim X5
I found no solution at this time
I tried all that have been suggested here, every time after a fresh hard reset, but constantly tomtom v6.01 doesnt see any card on the SD

I had no problem with an Asus 632, a Yakumo Delta 300, but on my X5 I can only use tomtom v6.000

Guest, tap the screen in the bottom right where the signal is.

Click on the version number in the bottom right

you will now see the tomtom version, build and also the map version.

As already discovered, on my HTC Alpine (WM2003 SE) the version 6.01 requires 2577 folder on SD (with Autorun.exe file inside) to overcoming the problem "No maps found".
I have two ppc, and this Folder is required only with WM2003 SE and not with WM5 (my HTC Universal).
I don't know why, but with the presence of 2577 folder on SD card the problem is totally solved.

The Autorun.exe file included in 2577 folder can be a null file, the original one is not required to fix the problem.

It is strange, I know, but in this way TomTom 6.010 works properly.

How do you switch the program to widescreen/sideways mode. I can't find the option anymore.

There isnt one.

Officially tt6 only supports WM2003SE and WM5 which have the ability to switch to landscape in the OS. So to use landscape you need to change the orientation within windows then load tomtom. There is no way at all to do this within Tomtom and as far as I know tt have no plans to change this.

tomtom sucks ... look at the proofs !!!,,,, 23 pages of confusion and counting !!!

just laying out the obvious ...

wish I could say the same for the TT software. In terms of user friendliness, it earn a BIG ZERO !!

map, folders locations....etc ... like I've said, 23 pages and counting !!!

Well go and buy a legit version when it is released, and stop moaning about something that is free. It is still rated as one of the best navigation systems worldwide. Typical guest type comment

tomtom is by far the best I have tried. Far better than route 66 and infinatly better than wayfinder.

Chances are the final retail install will be easier, afterall you just inser the SD card you get or inser the CD and it will do the rest. Here we have a hacked version which works around the activation, which its not supposed to do. We have no official installer or instructions but for most it works quite well.

My easy installs alone have over 2000 downloads between them. People dont come on this forum to say "thanks, it works" they post when they ahve a problem. Now with proberbly thousands of downloads and only a few pages of problems (most from unsupported devices) its gone quite well I think.

IF you dont like the fact they removed the screen rotate on your old device the answer is simple. Upgrade to a newer device or use TT5. Dont complain when technology moves on and you dont want to.

@Guest - I agree with both Mercenary and XDAminis - TomTom6010 cracked version, does work well. Okay so on some devices you have to adapt the system but as they have said this is FREE. Yes there are 23 pages, but if you read them properly you will see a lot of successful results, there are also over 32 thousand viewings of this thread, and obviously a majority of these have installed successfully and probably don't comment on that fact.

All of these guys work hard, for no reward, just to bring you the software for free and ungrateful s***s like you don't deserve their effort. If you can't be bothered to make an effort to install it yourself xda is right go and f*****g buy it
Typical attitude I want it all, I want it now, I don't want to work for it and I want it for free. - piss off!
