those are NavTeq maps from 2005... Retail version of TT6 PDA is using the latest TeleAtlas ones so better wait for them... What's the use of using older maps ?

Twingo and Drachgomezhas made it good.
I think, the NAVTEQ-Maps are better for the shortest route. TELEATLAS-Maps lures one by country lanes for which one needs a jeep (in Germany) ! In addition who says, then this the Maps are from 2005 ? These are the newest NAVTEQ-Map from the TomTom ONE New Edition ! I believe, it would be a good change to drive sometimes with NAVTEQ-Maps;-))
And so anew are not the TELE-ATLAS Maps also! At most reworks, but these are the NAVTEQ-Maps also.
best regards

Perhaps on the beta v6.000 (PPC) ?

What did you do on your TT ONE regards the registration of the new map.
Or did it just work.

Hello xdaminis,
it works without activation! Maybe, i have installed (bevor) the Western_Europe v650 from TELEATLAS with Registration on my TomTom ONE (it's a buyed Map-Version with Productcode). Assumedly, the Activation must be the same for the NAVTEQ Western_Europe v652 (?)
best regards from Munich

i think the pocket pc version is to low to run it, i hope tomtom will consider to make a update so we can use this map
as you stated you use tomtom 6.150 and we use the tomtom 6.010 on pocket pc
i think that is the problem, because normally it doesnt matter where the map comes from pocket pc, palm or tomtom 1 they are all the same

If that's true then why do the maps with version 652.1204 all work perfectly, and an 'older' version 652.1185 doesn't

Hi All,
Thats what I thought, I didnt think it mattered where it came from, they should (if they had any sense) only need to make it once, for all formats.... PPC, Mobile, Palm, blah blah..... I mean, if they wanted to be tight, and make people who have bought various devices, need to buy the same map for each product, jus to bag in some more cash....
Perhaps this TT One, is the one I need for my WinCE 4.20 device, as I still cant get the 6.010 to work.... unlike the leaked beta 6.000.... Does that mean 6.150 is newer than the 6.010, even though it's a different product...?
I wouldnt mind testing TT One also, to see if it does make a difference to my Gizmondo.... do you have either ttmobile.bif or ttnavigator.bif on your TT One device storage?
Cheers,
Lister

Maybe a difference from TeleAtlas and Navteq maps?
ROB
...i have the ttgo.bif and install.bif file on the storage-card from my TomTom ONE (the system from ttone works with Linux).
Till present has tested all variations to bring the NAVTEQ-Map on my PPC to running! All possible system files mutually exchanged and to and fro copied - unfortunately, without success. However, i do not believe that it is a problem with the speed from PPC v6.010, because v652.1204 (Benelux) also runs! In addition, run the map also with exchanged mapinfo.dat from the WE Map v650 (even if only briefly up to the crash) !
Will further test tomorrow...
good night
