I did it but without downloading any map. I unistalled and then loaded the patched version. After that I downloaded the wished maps.

You can go to Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp to see the downloaded maps, you can copy it to your PC for future reference.

I am in Germany and it is not warning all the speed cameras, only very few. The speed cameras are still there physically (I see them) and Sygic warns about them but not Tomtom Go. Traffic Works perfect. Anybody knows why?

Should have used the latter method.... I tried the download the maps first then uninstall way and it didn't recognise the 1.5g of maps (even thought they were still in the data folder.... Therefore had to download them again after installing the patched version.... My advice - bag your maps AFTER the patched is installed..
BTW - I also get the 40 odd days left pop up at the start, but the 'freemium' date in the upgrade menu is indeed 2101 - will just have to see what happens when the 40 something days on the pop runs dry?
