Can anybody confirm a TomTom Navigator version that works with WM 6.5?? I currently have TTN 7.910 installed on my HTC Fuze (Touch Pro) with WM 6.1, but I want to flash to a 6.5 ROM. I would like to know if anybody had any success installing TTN on a WM 6.5 device and if you did, which version you used? I will greatly appreciate the information. Thanx.

Here what I did to install this on my Touch Pro 2 (Sprint/CMDA) storage card:

I installed ttn7.916.9189_original_patched.cab (from post 1, page 1) onto my storage card. The cab took a long time to install.

Once installed, BTTrayCE.exe will not run -- you need to delete or rename the files below. This was pointed out in (post 1321, page 89) and (post 1348, page 90). I renamed the files just to be safe.
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll => \Windows\BtSdkCE30-TomTom.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll => \Windows\BtCoreIf-TomTom.dll

I ran TomTom to get the device ID.

Downloaded USA and Canada v835.2423 and followed instructions in post 1, page 1.
I copied the map folder (USA_and_Canada_835.2423) to root directory of the storage card.

I restarted and ran TomTom -- Everything worked perfectly.

One odd problem with TomTom - which started happening all of a sudden... I run TomTom for the first time, everything works fine. On exit, TomTom creates folder TOmTOm on Flash Disk (it runs whole from SD card and maps are on SD card too). It also creates ttnavigator.bif file on Flash Disk.

Next time I run TomTom, it displays "can not find maps" message.

When I delete folder TomTom an ttnavigator.bif from Flash Disk immediately after exit from TomTOm, it runs fine the next time. If i FORGET to delete these, and run TomTom, it can't find maps, and only solution is to delete these files and RESET the device!

Any suggestions? I could easily create mortscript to delete these files on TomTom exit, but would prefer a cleaner solution inside TOmTOm ;-)

I have a HX4600 on which I've put a 6.1 rom. The problem I have is that if I install Tomtom 7.916 (after ensuring that the 2 dll that stop the sounds working are removed) then any map I install (for example UK and ROI 720,1803) and activate it it comes up as 'Map isn't activated' when I run Tomtom.

I've tried Easytools and also Alberts to activate, but with no change. :(

Tomtom 720.1802 works fine on my other HX4700 running 2003SE, but it looks to me that wm 6.1 needs 7.916 as 7.915 and 7.10 won't install.

I can get it working with Version 6 Tomtom and a V6 map.

Basically I'm confused as to why there is a problem, and what is the 'preferred' Tomtom setup for a WM6.1-ish setup on my Hx4700. :?

Any thoughts / suggestions gratefully received! :D

P.S. Alberts doesn't want to patch the ttsystem file, when I tried that.

Yup I've got it working on my rather old HP HX2790. I used the QVGA Black cab from the front page, used EasyTools to activate the map and renamed the BT files. It now all works perfectly.

What device? I've installed it and using a BT GPS device and it works fine. I really hate the built-in GPS devices, not as good as my SiRF.

OK, I found some files and downloaded them. I put them in the Program Files and made a folder TomTom 7. I made a shortcut and put it in start menu. I am using version 7.915.9196.
I downloaded the map USA v835.2420, used the EasyUseTools and everything works great, except there is no "Clear route" option. I checked all possible settings, except the Start-up Preferences, which cause the TT7 to terminate.
How can I get the "Clear route" option back?

Hi...after installing TT7 (the latest) into HTC Touch2 (with official WM6.5 shipped ROM) Windows is throwing some error regarding some bluetooth exe. After removing TomTom everything is normal again? Can anybody help and advice?

You need to remove (or rename) 2 files from the windows folder (after installing TT7):

\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll

Tomtom is running ok but the problem is I can not activate Bluetooth after installing TT even when
I delete or remove this 2 files you mention above and soft reset it.
So I can not use my handsfree set or any other BT devices becouse Comm Manger Can't turn on Bluetooth :( :(
