Just to know if someone notice this strange behaviour with 7.910
It seems, in fact form me it is, 2 times slower to refresh the map while driving
Roughly one time per second, previous version 7 was two times more faster, i Just back to it to check
And also some lost of connection I dont have with older 7 version

Is anybody have the same problem ??

no. this version for me works great. best version yet. i get a gps sat fix almost instantly, havent had to wait more than 2min. the routes are better too. and there is no lag; meaning, when im at a corner, the gps doesnt say that i still need 30 more yards. :D

Exactly the same here. I can confirm this 100 %
Especially the gps-lag disappeared completely.

=>TomTom 7910.9185 QVGA BLUE with maps 815/720<=

Successfully installed on Samsung i830 (PPC2003) ,
but failed on HTC Touch 3G (Jade) for recognizing any maps.
Tried maps in SD root or My Documents.

Anyone had successful experience on HTC Jade? Thanks.

I've got an HTC 8900. The install was perfect and unlocking the mapping was not an issue. However when I get into the program, it will not acquire satellites. I have Garmin installed as well and it works perfectly. I've set the GPS to use the Internal GPS. I've noticed that others are having this issue as well when I was reading through the pages. Has anyone come up with a solution?

Thanks for feedback, will try install from scratch instead of upgrade only two files , who knows ...

right now I have 7.451, which read 8.15 map without problem, as far as I know this was not supposed to work ...

hi, how do you find device ID for this tomtom? I have found it on previous versions as you can regester manually, but with this version it says:

Activation failed
Sorry, this is not the correct activation code fot the product........

then when you click continue - the only thing you can do - it gives you the select a map option which just does the same thing again or you can click 'voucher' at the bottom which takes you to a webpage that says that no map is compatible with the device even though it works lol.
Thanks in advance for any help and a few WRZ will be given to anyone that can help :):)
Device is HTC touch

labtec99, in folder "Navigator" is a file called ttnavigator.bif

open this .bif - file with a text editor. In there you finde your unique deviceID.

You have already "easyusetools" for activating your map?

Wow THANKS !
But How had you succeed to upgrade this device to WM6.1?
I am willing to also but I don't dare even to start...

I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow, so I'm posting this again since I never received a response the first time. Hopefully someone out there has heard of this issue and knows how to fix it.

-----

Is anyone having a problem with delayed audio?

The voice alerts that tell me to make a turn have pauses in the middles of them. Instead of hearing "In one quarter mile, turn left.", all I hear is "In one quarter mile..." Then when I'm about 100 feet from the turn the sentence finishes with "...turn left." followed by another "Turn Left" when I've actually reached the turn.

The delay can be anywhere from several seconds to nearly a minute, depending on how fast I'm driving and how far away I am from the turn when the voice alert goes off. In some cases, it gives the second half of the alert after I've already passed the intended turn.

I have an AT&T Tilt and I'm using 7.910 at the moment, but this happened with the previous version as well (I believe it was 7.450).
