Hello,

I succesfully installed TomTom 7 and Western Europe map (as indicated in this topic). Everything works just fine.
I only have a problem starting up the program.
I can only start the program from within explorer. I cannot create a shortcut in the startup menu nor in the programs menu.
I already installed tttoday and that could work but I use a HTC Touch HD and always start up with TouchFlo 3D. In that case you cannot add another program to the startup screen. So that does not work either.
I tried to create a short cut of the navigator.exe file, but that seems to be impossible.

Can anyone help me?

use total commander or resco explorer for doing a shortcut.

Works fine with Total Commander.

Thx a lot.

Happen to know how I can transfer "favorite locations" I created in TomTom 6 to TomTom 7?

look for "mapsettings.cfg" and copy that file into your new map folder from tt 6-map (e.g.WESTERN_EUROPE-MAP.CFG )
Always Backup the files, tho

Copy the complete Map-Folder and a folder "Voices" to the root of your SD-Card.
Then you need to activate your map with a keygen.

Hi All,

Ok, thanks to DemonFatal from another forum, who also visits this one.... I am now able to get TT7 (7910.9185) working on my generic WinCE 4.2 device, along with the 815.2024 maps for UK....

However, like the previous version before it in the TT7 family, it always shows a DEBUG Screen when navigating....

You will drive for like 200yards, before it displays a white screen, saying Debug (kinda like a notepad debug screen) but simply putting a tick on the cross to close it down works fine, and you wont see it again until you next re-start the app.

Does anyone know why this is...? or anyone else get it and on what device/hardware??

Thanks,

Lister

In the map folder are no voices.
You must hav an extra folder called "voices"

You can download most voices for free via tthome
