I have tried it and it works.
Cheers. :D

all of those settings are already in the data.zip by default. Only put in the settings you want to change into your sys.txt. for example if you want to change what it says at red lights and the distance:

[speedcam_category:4]
approach_beep_distances="50,50"
activated_speech="Warning, there is a red light camera ahead. You need to gun it!"

Yes thanks sambrothers, I didn't know that.
I did realise when you gave me the script for the sys.txt file that I would be able to edit it and put my own message in.
What has stopped me so far is which number given in the script relates to which camera type.
The redlight one seems obvious, but the rest are not as easy.

I download my speed cameras files from pocketgpsworld, and they come like this.

1 Fixed cameras.
2 Mobile cameras
3 Redlight
4 pMobile cameras (whatever they are.....)
5 Specs (average speed zone).

In the program the categories are:-

1 Speed camera (presumably fixed).
2 Mobile speed cameras
3 Built-in speed cameras
4 Average speed cameras
5 Redlight cameras
6.Red light and speed cameras

What I would like to know to save me endless experimenting, is which number in the sys.txt file relates to which camera category in the Primo program.
Do you know?

See my post above too for advice on speed camera alerts.
Thanks.

I had the same problem. I figured out that the red light cameras were #3 in the spud files but that's about it.

For the sys.txt settings, someone is going to have to set up a set of alerts on a route in a certain order. Then they can setup the sys.txt so that the voice alerts correspond to the categories:
[speedcam_category:1]
activated_speech="Speedcam Category One"
[speedcam_category:2]
activated_speech="Speedcam Category Two"
[speedcam_category:3]
activated_speech="Speedcam Category Three"
...
And so on. Then when they drive the route, they can write down in what order the categories are announced by the gps. Then let us know the results. I unfortunately don't have the time to do this myself.

I am not using any skin, just whatever came with Primo (in the 1st Post). See the sys.txt above.

i use data.zip (support 400x240) and your sys.txt but i have error: user interface resolution (800x480) is not supported or compatible skin ... :(

Sorry, i use wrong data.zip, it's working now, thanks :)

Cheers for that sambrothers.
I will have to do the experimenting after all, when I get some time.
Your suggestion seems a reasonable way to go about it.
Unfortunately there are no average speed cameras near where I live, but there are plenty of fixed, mobile sites and redlights.....so I should be able to sort it.
I will report back when I do.

Finely got it loaded on my 7" car unit running at 800x480 with the 400x200 data.zip, but it is almost impossible to use, as the buttons are all over the place, you have to play with it to even get the setup done, which took me about 20 minutes to find the ok button.

Has anyone else managed to get a stretched version working ok?

Use the 320x240 data.zip posted here and everything would be fine ;)

Right, I have tried out the speed camera test using the sys.txt file.
It is as I would have thought:-
Category 0 is fixed cameras
Category 1 is mobile cameras
Category 2 is built in camera
Category 3 is average speed cameras
Category 4 is redlight cameras
Category 6 is red light and speed cameras.

Just change the text to whatever you think is the appropriate warning for that camera type and adjust the distance figure to the distance or distances you want warning at.

Job done. :)

Help - I have an HTC HD2 but can't get iGO Primo to work - the links to the rapidshare data.zip files don't seem to work for me - says the files have been removed. Any help would be appreciated as this new version of iGO looks very nice and I would like to try it.

newbie here.
I have tried the data.zip with 400x240 resolution. and the below sys.txt

[folders]
; To instruct Primo to not try to search additional files (licenses, data.zip...) in other directories
has_secondary_root=0

[Interface]
show_exit = 1
resolution_dir = "400_240"
screen_x = 800
screen_y = 480
extra_settings=1

[Rawdisplay]
HighRes = "1"
screen_x = 800
screen_y = 480
class = "landscape"

Runs on my 800x480PND, it is full screen, all the buttons show up in the proper position, but when I touch them no response. I try to click other place on the screen, I found they seem still in the 400x240 screen's position. ex. the button "back": it is shows on the bottom-left corner of the screen in my PND, but when I click it, no response, but if I click at the center-left of the screen, it works. For the big button I can still figure it out by this way, but when I want to key in the address with keyboard, it is too hard. Any one has the same problem?

Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

Any chance of doing the other 25 alerts? =) Just kidding! I doubt I'm going to mark hazardous parts of the road anyways. These 5 should be all that we really need.
Nice job, mate! Thank you!

I have tried it with the 320x240 Data.zip, but it is still the same, the touch screen still is not in the correct place for the menu buttons ECT, I have to click all over the screen to get to the settings.

Could you please tell me what the sys.txt should be mine is currently
