You can find a list of speedcams here:

http://www.w-lantech.hu/speedcam/generator/speedcam.php?m=speedcam.php

It has the latest speedcams from all Europe, but it has also a lot of outdated speedcams, especially where are finished temporary works on highway. I tested the database last week on the following route: Arad-Szeged-Budapest-Vienna-Linz-Munchen-Zurich-Geneva-Chamonix-Geneva-Zurich-Innsbruck-Linz-Vienna-Budapest-Arad. Some speedcams are with an error of 50 to 100 m, some are put on highway on both directions but they are just for one, but all in all, it saved me 12 times. The speedcams from the tunnels are not included, and they are hard to see because the ceiling is almost black and in shadow. Be sure that at the entrance and at he exit of the tunnels there are speedcams. Some of them are outside the tunnel and are visible, some are in the tunnel, suspended in the middle or lateral on the wall. As you might now, in Switzerland it is forbidden to have speedcams warnings in the navigation software. This database respects that. Watch out! In Hungary be careful when passing the big rest areas, police with radar use to wait you there.

Just select all the text from the frame and paste into a txt file named Speedcams.txt.
Copy this file in the iGO/POI/Speedcam directory from your card.
At first start iGO will parse the speedcam file (about 600 KBytes!) and will make the database, so it will start slower than usually. After the first start you can delete the file Speedcams.txt, and you will get some seconds.
Don't forget to enable speedcam warning in iGO!

Please read also this topic;
viewtopic.php?f=38&t=17640

Drive carefully!

With enable speedcam warning you mean the creation of the sys.txt in the IGo Folder? Is there a possibility to get a warning 500 m before like in TomTom Navigator?

Hi,

Does anyone succeed to install it on Treo 750v with WM6 (AT&T) update?

I could install it, but then the screen is loading with the 320*240 screen resolution so it's all messed up...

If anyone knows how to change the resolution to 240*240? Thanks!

PS: I didn't tried it before on WM5, so I have no idea if it has to do with WM6, but the Treo 750v is on the compatibility list (in WM5...)

Thanks

I installed iGo from the storage card, so I put all the maps in the "MAPS" folder. TomTom is also running fine in my Treo 750v (WM6), iGo is loading, but with wrong resolution (320*240)...

Any idea?

Hi,

During simulation/fly over ?

You only get alerts during real navigation.

Even in real navigation : nothing :(

in Igo/POI/Speedcam directory, I've two files : speedcam.spdb an SpeedcamUptdate.spud .

Is it right ? I uses the .txt speedcamlist to generate the speedcam.spdb

Thanks for answers :D

Did you activate the speedcam function in Settings menu/ General - General Settings/ Alerts - Speed Warning Options, "Enable Safety Cameras" and "Audible Warning" not Disabled (you have to scroll down) ?

EDIT: do you see the small camera icon(s) in map mode when you zoom in to a known place ?

I see icon with multi-sheet and a "+" on it.

If I tap on it, a pop-up appear with "speedcam50".

So it's not a camera icon

What's wrong ?? :(

Edit : I had 2 pois. I deleted 1 and know I've a camera icon.

But all the "imported speedcam" are apparently not listed with a "camera icon" but a "normal poi icon" !!

You have to have this kind of (camera) icon on your map in map mode:

If not, there's obviously something wrong with your .txt speedcamlist. :?

I have no further ideas, but try to delete all files in Speedcam folder, and copy a new speedcamlist file into it.

Is there a way to export my own custom speedcam locations to tomtom .ov2 file?

Thanks

As far as I remember, you have to have a GPS fix to have the anouncements for speedcams (from pdamill site). To test it, put a speedcam on the street you live, enable cockpit mode and walk on the street.
for timothy185:
"With enable speedcam warning you mean the creation of the sys.txt in the IGo Folder?" - No, enter settings mode an proceed like in post #1463, activate the speedcam function in Settings menu/ General - General Settings/ Alerts - Speed Warning Options, "Enable Safety Cameras" and "Audible Warning" not Disabled (you have to scroll down).
The distance from which iGO announces the speedcam is about 600-800 meters; is has separate sounds for underspeed and overspeed.
