Did you follow the instructions exactly? It's quite tricky so i don't blame you. Let me try to explain it better, as i have the Tilt to. Copy the iGO folder in you storage card to the first directory, not program folders (assuming that this folder has the liscense). Then drag the 2577 one in the same directory, not inside the iGO folder. Run the file in the 2577 one and it should tell you if you want to install it. Put yes. If you have this all good, then you place your map in the maps folder in the igo folder. Hope this works.

Hi:
Is it necessary to have speedcams installed in order to have the speed limit displayed? If not, how do I get the speed limit to show? I have already selected speed limit as one of the displays at the bottom, but it appears blank. I did a search of this thread, and saw someone named Hunter had previously addressed this issue, but the link he referenced as an explanationa nd file is no longer available. Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

PS: I had this problem on a Treo 750 WM5
I now have an AT&T Tilt (aka. Kaiser aka. TyTn II) with WM6, will this help the problem stop (I have only owned it for 2 days and I do not yet have my memory card for it, so I have been unable to test iGo)?

The speed limit information is included in the map data, it's not necessary to have speedcams installed.

Which map do you use? Could be, the map or some part of it hasn't got speed limit information. To verify this, put show_speed_limit=1 in the [debug] section of your sys.txt file. This allows you to investigate the speed limits in the map (if they are included). So tap a street on the map and an indicator like "35/?50" should be prefixed to the street name in the street info box (if a speed limit is present).

Hi:
Thanks so much for your reply. I am using the latest release of Ohio, Kentucky and Major Roadways maps (USA). I hope to have a memory card fairly soon, and I will definitely try out your suggestion.
Thanks again!

Hi

I checked that with an older Florida map, same result. The speed limit field at the bottom also appears blank with this map. But the street info box on the map shows a speed limit prefixed to the street names (show_speed_limit=1). :o

Obviously an issue with all the USA maps. I'm not quite sure, if this fact wasn't already posted somewhere. :?

EDIT:
The speedlimit prefix in the street info box for the USA and (!) Canada maps is shown in the format "35/?50", with a question mark! The speedlimit prefix info for the maps here in Europe (for most of the streets) shows the format, for example, "35/50" without (!) a question mark. I think, that's the fact.
