A strange thing has happened. When I installed on my AT&T Tilt/ Kaiser, iGo now starts up automatically after every soft reset.
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks!

PS: I put the iGo folder and 2577 folders on sd card. soft reset, then clicked on 2577/iGo to install.

Don't put the two folders directly on sd. When windows mobile restarts it looks at the sd if there is a app to start. In this case its the igo file which starts igo (igo is already installed).
just deinstall igo, put the two folders in an other folder e.g. (/igo/*) then install again and everything should be fine.

If you are quite sure, there isn't an iGO shortcut in the windows startup folder :) you can simply rename the 2577 folder on the SD card or the autorun.exe in this folder after iGO has been installed. Windows uses the 2577 folder for autorun procedures.

just delete 2577 folder and thats it :) it is autorun folder to use only when installing

I upgraded my hx2410 to WM6, and iGO don't works, the following error appears:

file c:\GPS_2006R3\gpslib\poimanager\outlook\poom_interface.cpp line number:279 error code: c0000005

I tried add to sys.txt:

[interface]
skip_contact_import=1

but result is the same. Anybody knows, what's the problem?

guys, i need help please... had to hard reset my phone, and i've tried every .cab install and smooth install link on the first page and i still keep getting a "HardwareID error"... i've tried to use the last working iGo files i had b4 my hard reset, i've tried the smooth install, and i've tried the "cracks", everything... all these i tried after removing and uninstalling any existing iGo files... is there a specific file/s which causes the "HardwareID error"? thanks

Ugh... if I knew I'd have so much trouble upgrading to a 4Gig SDHC I don't know if I would've done it.

But anyway, I did get a SDHC for Christmas. I have an Asus A696, and after a bit of work got the driver upgraded to properly read the SDHC. Of course, iGo stops working. :( After a lot of trial and error, I read everything through very clearly in the first post, and still couldn't figure out what to do!

Well, finally, after some trial and error I found that installing the June 18 update, and then using the Aug 13 patch on top of that will get me past the HardwareIDError message.

However, while I got past the error, I'm still having trouble. When the program starts up the screen is sorta "split" Part of the right side of the splash screen is on the left, and part of the left is on the right. Plus I have a large black area at the bottom.

I'm wondering if this is because I have a QVGA screen? Does the newer iGO only work on full VGA screens?

I'm using MioMap right now, but I'd prefer iGo if I can get it working.

Thanks for any input anyone can shed.

Actually, iGO with its default skin still "prefers" :D QVGA screen. Did iGO work correctly before the SDHC upgrade of your device? Did you use a sys.txt file with iGO? If so, check it for some entries about screen resolution/orientation parameters, perhaps you don't need them anymore or they are working now in a wrong way? Do you use another iGO skin than the default one?

Well... that's strange. I dunno why it suddenly wanted to stop working for me. Bummer...

Let's see here:

Yes, iGO did work correctly before the SDHC upgrade.
No, I did not use the sys.txt file with iGO.
No, I never used a skin other than the default.

Here's my series of events:

Prior to any activity...
----iGO worked fine

Upgraded to SDHC drivers
----iGO paints correctly, gives HardwareIDError

Upgraded iGO to June 18 release
----iGO splash screen is split and painted strangely, gives HardwareIDError

Upgraded iGO to Aug 13 release
----iGO splash screen is split and painted strangely, does NOT give HardwareIDError. Unfortunately, after getting into the program, it's still painted oddly and the screen taps doesn't respond. I can't get past the point where I'm supposed to pick a language.

Now, if I remember correctly, I downgraded iGO at one point to an older version. The splash screen returned to the proper alignment, but of course I got the HardwareIDError then.

Then obviously, something has got mixed up with the iGO June 18 release upgrade.

You better make a clean reinstall (hardreset if possible and SDHC driver reinstall if required) and after that, start directly from the iGO June 18 release setup, not again with the older iGO version.

Have you the sdhc-driver from ASUS installed, or the ROM-Upgrade with integrated sdhc-driver?
I can't use the 18June-version, but from 12. April works perfect (incl. Andy 8.5.1-skin+ splitscreenskin+ highquality-color-icon/poi-skin and handmade GPS-picture)

I dunno what to say. I uninstalled iGO and then reinstalled the Juan 18... same problem. I'll try and take a picture of it sometime so I can post it.

I do have the ASUS iGO update installed and I do have the SDHC installed.

The program does run... I figured out that if I guess about where the I should be pressing the buttons it works, just the screen is bad. I'm gonna play around some more and see if I can figure out what's up.

@pcp-ppc
Make a rom-update with new firmware, do not install sdhc-update. Caution, through the firmwareupdate all settings go and installed programs lost.
