does this new version has poi audio warning??

I don't see something like that.

WHEN I DOWNLOADED this file and put on the speedcam directory. Everything goes Wrong and program i-GO doesn't start to work! WHY? is it a fake or virus?


You said as I understand that you take base of this file to unzip from w-lantech.hu but I would like to know how to convert this EE or EU -sk file from TXT fromat to SPUD format for i-GO 8.

Can you explain please clearly? Is a software that makes this convertion automatically?

No it's not A FAKE, I just Wrinting there many time In 'C' one converter to Txt to Binary

So:
1) UNRAR the file
2) Copy this file to GOOD location
\POI\SPEEDCAM\SpeedcamUpdates.spud < Your FILE Here

Turn your GPS 'ON', Verify after If your ZOOM is MINUS to 2Km to Scale in MAP mode
And Your Country is Authorized to Display Speedcamsz (In your Sys.Txt)
You see Now all your speedcams now

--> complete package of Hungary (so map, poi and buildings)

--> POI files for Poland, Romania and Ukraine

--> building files for all of Eastern Europe (if there are any)

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

OK Sorry for what I said. The problem was that after I copied to this directory:
C:\Igo8_PC_big\content\speedcam and I:\igo8\content\speedcam, I-go stopped to work and I had to reset my HTC P3600 and delete this file from my PC Computer.

Now I see that you said to put in a different directory. I will try this evening.

It's not a bug.

iGO wants to verify, that you are currently NOT staying in Switzerland. Because the use of speedcam warning devices of every kind, including navigation systems with POI warners, is forbidden there by law.

But why there is another directory that is C:\Igo8_PC_big\content\speedcam and not C:\Igo8_PC_big\content\poi\speedcam that I must create?
Where did you find the file you put for download? is from w-lantech.hu ? How did you converted to Spud file?

You need a GPS fix once to verify that your location on the map is not in Switzerland .

If you cannot modify (or add this in your Sys.txt, it's ok)
But when you have Into your sys.txt this:

usemio=-12,90,37,27 ; SpeedCams Activation Set
enable_at_startup=1 ; Authorized without confirm
disable=0 ; Here disable is NO SET, so normally it's running WITHOUT location
;disable="_SUI", "_GER" ; And Here the disable country is REM

and the bug is alway present (with igo 2006+) no check with the 2008 version who is very very too slow...

Too this is buggy...(i think exept error of me...)

SO, Speed-cam warnings don't work in Switzerland (and maybe some other countries). It just doesnt sound right that a software company should act to enforce the laws of a particular country. Would the Swiss have banned the S/W from sale in their country if they had not done it?

In the US, speedcams are very rare but redlight cameras are common.

I have a problem with the speedcams, too.

Igo8 just won't start. I waited for about 15 min. Then 'out of memory' popped up (I have 20MB of free Memory !)
