If you think of MS-DOS as mono, and Windows as stereo, then Linux is Dolby Pro-Logic Surround Sound with Bass Boost and all the music is free.

Anyhow here it's the folder structure: (at least that's mine and it's

working)
content
- building
- dem
- lang
- map
- phoneme
- poi
- speedcam
- texture
- voice
custom
license
save
(bold it's required, the rest only if you have proper files, like 3dl

for buildings, spud for speedcam, and so on )"...
This version of iGO works fine except one thing: I CANNOT SEE THE BUILDINGS ON MAP! Is there a way to make it happen? And where I can take the SpeedCams for Canada? [can I use the SpeedCams from previous versions of iGO 2006/2007?]

THANK YOU!

The question was asked before... But no answer was provided in the thread.
Does anyone have an idea how to include our personal POIs into the program?

I mean:
Data format ?
Files Location ?
Advised tools ?

Many thanks for any help.

I made several tests, with different data files.
That functions, but the time of loading and multiplied by 10 or 20.

On Dell Axim (pross 650Mhz) loading in 4 ' 30 ".
On PC (2x 2.4Ghz) loading in 90 seconds

bug? on the version of demo, or file TXT/UPD/SPUD nonin conformity with this version 8, I do not know, it is necessary to await the final version

I have a SpeedcamUpdates.spud file which is 266Kb.
It takes IGO8 about 2.5 minutes to get past the "GPSAPP CTOR" screen, and finaly get to the main Navigation Menu.
If I didn't know any beter, I'd also think it froze.

Hopefully this means we will get updated final version soon.

This software is leagues better (even as a early demo) than Mobile Navigator 6 on my Navigon 2100. I intend to use this full time on my Navigon, as routing is near perfect. Only thing I miss is TMC, as I don't believe iGo recognizes my receiver.

I was at the Cebit (in Hannover, Germany) last friday and some guy at the iGO stand told me they released iGO 2008 just now and were planning to relaease a new version around the summer with support for traffic-info over GPRS!

Whoooohoo!

I think that's great news, because he told me it would be open for 3rd party traffic information! At that point, TomTom really has no more advantages over iGO!

Now these are great news !!! (Traffic over GPRS)

And if they get TTS to work properly ...
