Hello,

I've got some hints for those who encounter the 'Out of Memory' and 'Error in main thread'.
It seems that Igo8 on its first run wants to check all your contacts and map them as an POI.
Since I've got 500+ contacts it was too way too much it could handle so the device rans out of memory.
The solution after one day struggeling is the following: install Igo the normal way but do not install any maps except the basemap.
Run Igo and it will tell you that geoconfig couldn´t match much contracts. Exit Igo and add your map. I'm running it nice and smooth now!

I have had the same Problems on my Loox N560 with WM5
Now I have updated to WM6 and IGO8 works fine .... :-))


What helped me is a clean install of the latest version (from the first post). There are many ways to remove old installation: 1) HR. 2) ROM upgrade. 3) Just uninstall and delete all files and registry keys and trees with "igo8" name.

Just one question

I have read manual and it's written if you want to find POI,when you get to POI category,tere should be written "FIND" so can type some leters and POI would be found.

But in my copy there is no FIND in POI selection

any hint

Forget,IGO 8 has a different system,first you have to make a choice
around adress
around route
around cursor
and then you have a choice to find POI

IGO 6 you can go direct into POI search by name

when i put all the POI i want on Contents/Userdata/POI, i freeze when i turn on Igo8. why is that?

When you put pois you must wait a while, it is initailizing pois, i have many pois, ind have to wait about 3-4 minutes, but just first time:\)
