Im using an HP Ipaq 614c and it installed fine and found the latest map ok but it just cant seem to connect to the GPS. I have managed to get it to connect once but it keeps saying GPS disconnected or not found. I know it is configured properly ie porta and buad and the GPS works fine with tomtom.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

install, calibrate screen(because the stylus work is reflected)

I have the same problem

I installed the patch, but now in portrait mode the display is turned 180 degrees (buttons are on the up side of the screen)

Obviously this isn't quite right, any ideeas what to do?

Tried installing A6x6-LCD_V02.CAB - the display works ok, but igo 8 doesn't (4 corner points)

:(

I have ASUS A696 and with this : http://www.asus.ru/ftp/forum/Cannes_DWM.CAB it work fine :-) I was recalibrated screen which was little difficult. And problem with 4 corner points disappear and IGO 8 is now working fine! 8)

Thanks!

Software is working, but I cannot use TMC (8.0.0.31442 from this post). Is that an issue in the original version?

I Use an Dell Axim X51V and a FM9-TMC-Adapter. I tried to flash the Dell with three different firmwares (WM5 and WM6), tried fixed Settings in sys.ini (see below), ...

Result is always the same...
If I click settings - TMC - Search the TMC-Adapter is found and starts searching for stations.
2 or 3 seconds later it shows again that there is no TMC-Hardware
Then it is searching for stations again.
It never reaches a frequency used by one of our tmc-stations and it always disconnects/connects ...

sys.ini according to PdaMill-Post (http://my.pdamill.com/viewtopic.php?t=3364):
Code: Select all[tmc]
port="COM,1"
source="gns"
gps_source= 0

btw: whith other Software the TMC is working as it should.

Any Hints/Solutions how to get this working?
Thanks.

Q: I have ASUS A696 PDA. I see black screen with four dots in the corners after upgrade. What can I do?
A: Open the sys.txt (Program Files/iGO8 folder) on the PDA, and add two lines at the end:
[rawdisplay]
driver=gdi

Time-Zone Error in Nav N Go iGO 8

Based on user feedback, we inform you that, in the current versions of Nav N Go iGO 8, the Windows time zone may be incorrectly set depending on the GPS position (for instance, Minsk is selected for Hungary). The correction of the error is in process.

As soon as the correction is made, we will immediately release an automatic update that can be downloaded free of charge with the use of the Content Manager. The exact time of the correction will be published on my.navngo.com. In case time-zone errors appear, you can temporarily correct them on your device by editing:
/Program Files/iGO8/sys.txt
and adding the following lines:

[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0

Attention: The modifications will only be activated when Nav N Go iGO 8 is restarted.

Nav N Go apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

I get such an error when simulating in munich with TTS turned on. I think my device has not enough memory to handle the buildings, the voice, and anything else. Could this be the problem?
So this is not a problem of the crack - am I right?
