The latest update (v8.0.0.49545) suffers the same issue on my Mio A701. Namely, it tries to update the SD card after soft-reset and as a result it resets the date and time. So I don't have any other choice but go back (again) to the last working version: v8.0.0.41506

JetMouse, would you have any solution for the above problem?

You may also:
1. don't copy the 2577 directory to your SD at all (make sure no old ones left there)
2. rename the application.dat to iGO8.exe
3. click the iGO8.exe and enjoy (no installation at all)
4. drive safely

Come on Paulusz, how many times u do a softreset in a day? If u do it only for navigation, don't worry cause there is synchronize option with GPS clock. This is the only problem on my mio (resolved only in 41506 indeed), but the in the rest, it rocks man! It never been so faster.

I find update in the english voice. Version from Jetmouse only with 2 voice, and 1 language.
Maybe somebody can upload all (full) updated content folder without maps and poi:
voice, language and etc.

Maremestera, what is the point to give false info to the forum members? With that you don't help the others with Mio A701 nor JetMouse who would think that everything is OK! JetMouse explicitly asked for feedbacks that can be helpful for him.
Tell you something else: if you reported the true situation about the latest version and the Mio A701 then I would not have wasted 2 hours to try every imaginable scenarios with the new release and my Mio A701. Other Mio A701 users might have the same time-wasting excercise just because you have reported that everything is OK and this is the best when you knew very well that this was not the case.
I'm not arguing about the fact that some can live with that abnormality (the resetting date and time after soft-reset). My point is: let's not give (knowingly!!!) misleading info to the others in this forum!

one more thing ...

I want the igo8 to be the default software navigation on my mio-c250 .
in the last versions it worked but now it's not .

Cahnging the folder name in the SD card from "IGO8" into "MIOMAP" and changing the "IGO8.EXE" file into "MIOMAP.EXE" file .
and changing in the sys.txt the app line to :

app="\Storage Card\MIOMAP\MIOMAP.EXE"

now every time I launch MIOMAP.EXE aka IGO8
I get the message : "ERROR : Program application database cannot be found"

if I change the folder and the file names back to IGO8 , everything works smooth .

what am I doing wrong ?
what have been changed in this version?

adding ";" before the "app="\Storage Card\MIOMAP\MIOMAP.EXE"
removed the error and made igo8 running smooth again

If u had read my previous posts, you'd saw this issue. I don't think I desinformed u (btw JM was noticed from the start) . First of all, our mio701 are "ROM cooked" so u must accept any inconvenience; my device don't behave like yours ... Second, if u use 41506 u can see new maps ( I know a guy told me before that there is a trick: installing old maps then replace them, but it didn't work for me). Third, but not last: it's annoying indeed, but let's face it: how many times a day u soft reset your device? Finaly: do a compare between this 2 releases, putt them calculate a route of about 1000 km and post after that your result. Cheers
